This is the standard two-magazine version of the GX2 Purple Sparkle 13 Round: a compact 9mm with a custom metallic purple slide over a black polymer frame, and a pair of thirteen-round magazines in the box.

Underneath the finish the GX2 Purple Sparkle 13 Round is an ordinary GX2, which is the point. A 3.38-inch stainless barrel, an accessory rail on the dust cover, a drift-adjustable rear sight and a white dot up front, at a shade over nineteen ounces unloaded.

9mm Luger is the most heavily produced and most tightly standardised handgun cartridge in the world, with chamber and pressure specifications published by SAAMI. A custom slide finish changes nothing mechanical, so this pistol handles ammunition exactly as any other GX2 does.

One point about applied finishes generally. The purple is sprayed and cured onto the slide after the gun is made, which means a deep scratch will show metal underneath rather than more purple. It is durable in normal use and it is not indestructible. If you want colour that cannot wear through, a moulded-through polymer frame in a factory colour is the better answer, and we stock several.
