Description
The Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot is the X3 generation of the full size 407C: one 2 MOA green dot, solar failsafe behind the battery, the RMR footprint, and 50 MOA of adjustment travel in each direction. Part HE407C-X3-GR.

Two MOA Is A Precision Choice
The 2 MOA dot on the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot covers half an inch at twenty five yards and two inches at a hundred. That is small enough that the reticle stops being the limiting factor in your group, and small enough to shoot a pistol honestly at distances most people never try.
The cost is real and worth stating: a 2 MOA dot takes fractionally longer to find on a fast draw than a 6 MOA one, and it punishes an inconsistent presentation. If you are new to optics, that learning curve is steeper. If your presentation is already grooved, the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot gives back precision that a bigger dot simply cannot.
Fifty MOA Of Travel Is The Quiet Upgrade
The adjustment range on the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot is 50 MOA in each direction, where several optics in the 407 and EPS families give you 30. That number never appears in marketing and it is the one that decides whether a sight can be zeroed at all.
Slide cuts are not perfect. Adapter plates stack tolerances. Put an optic with limited travel on a pistol that is already pointing slightly off and you can run out of adjustment before you run out of error, which leaves you with a sight that will not zero and no obvious reason why. Fifty MOA of headroom is insurance against exactly that, and it is why this is the safer choice if you are mounting through a plate.
Solar Failsafe Behind The Battery
A solar panel on top of the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot housing harvests ambient light and will run the sight on its own if the CR1632 dies or is removed. The cell is rated at 50,000 hours at brightness setting six and loads from a side tray, so a battery change on the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot never means unbolting anything or rechecking zero.
Shake Awake sleeps the optic when the pistol sits still and wakes it on movement. Lockout mode disables the buttons so a holster cannot alter your settings. Eight daylight brightness settings and four night vision settings give you the range from a bright bay to passive aiming.
Green At 540 Nanometres
The Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot emits at 540nm, is essentially the peak of human daylight sensitivity. A green reticle therefore reads brighter to your eye than a red one producing the same actual light, which buys contrast without buying current draw.
On a 2 MOA dot that efficiency matters more than usual. A small reticle has less area to be seen with, so it needs to be crisp rather than merely bright, and pushing a dim emitter hard is what makes a dot bloom into a starburst. The green emitter in the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot gets to the brightness you need with headroom to spare, which is part of why the dot stays round.
Built Like The Rest Of The Line
Getting A Clean Zero
Mount it, torque the screws to Holosun specification with a real driver, and zero at twenty five yards. With 1 MOA clicks, one click moves your impact about a quarter inch at that distance, so work in groups of three or four clicks rather than chasing single shots around the target.
Then set brightness low. The most common mistake with a 2 MOA dot is running it at maximum, which blooms the reticle into something closer to 4 MOA and throws away the precision you bought the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot for. Turn it down until the dot is just clearly visible on your target, then add a single click.
The Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot is 7075 T6 aluminum, anodized, IP67 for dust and immersion, 5000G of vibration resistance. The body measures 1.78 by 1.15 by 1.15 inches and weighs 1.5 ounces, with a 0.91 by 0.63 inch window and 1 MOA adjustment clicks.
The RMR footprint means the Holosun HE407C X3 Green Dot fits the largest range of optics ready slides and adapter plates available, so if you have owned a 507C or an RMR sized sight before, this bolts into the same holes.
