Description

Christensen Ridgeline FFT 25 Creedmoor rifle with 24 inch carbon fiber wrapped threaded barrel, burnt bronze Cerakote receiver and carbon stock with green and tan accents

The Christensen Ridgeline FFT 25 Creedmoor is a lightweight carbon-barreled hunting rifle chambered in the newest and arguably most useful member of the Creedmoor family. It runs a 24 inch carbon fiber wrapped threaded barrel, a burnt bronze Cerakote steel receiver, and a Sporter FFT carbon fiber stock, holds 4+1, and comes with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.

Christensen Ridgeline FFT 25 Creedmoor Barrel and Brake

The barrel is a 416R stainless core wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber, button rifled and match chambered, free floating the full length of the forend. Twenty-four inches lets 25 Creedmoor produce the velocity that justifies the cartridge, and the carbon wrap keeps that length from turning the rifle into something front-heavy.

A removable brake comes fitted at the threaded muzzle. On a cartridge as mild as this one, the brake is more about keeping the rifle flat so you can see your hit than about protecting your shoulder. It unthreads if you would rather run a suppressor.

Why 25 Creedmoor

25 Creedmoor takes the 6.5 Creedmoor case and necks it to .257, which gives it access to the new generation of high-BC quarter bore bullets. The result sits neatly between 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC: flatter and faster than the 6.5 Creedmoor with less recoil than the PRC cartridges, and considerably more capable on deer-sized game than a 6mm.

The quarter bore has a long history in American hunting through the 250 Savage and 257 Roberts, but those cartridges were held back by slow twist barrels and light bullets. 25 Creedmoor fixes both problems, and in a 24 inch barrel it puts up numbers that make it a genuinely modern deer and antelope round.

Action, Stock, and Trigger

The receiver is precision machined by Christensen Arms to a Remington 700 footprint, drilled and tapped, so scope bases are easy to source. The bolt runs smoothly and the trigger is a TriggerTech with the company frictionless release, which breaks clean without creep.

The Sporter FFT stock uses Christensen Flash Forged Technology carbon fiber, spot bedded with carbon fiber bedding pillars so the action sits in a rigid and repeatable platform. The pattern is carbon with green and tan accents, which blends well across timber, sage, and mixed country.

Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Ridgeline FFT 25 Creedmoor

It is a hunting rifle first, and the specification reflects that. Light enough to carry, accurate enough to guarantee, and chambered in something that shoots flat without beating you up. For a hunter who does not need to reach elk at 700 yards, this is close to the ideal all-round western rifle.

25 Creedmoor also runs in a standard short action and uses common 6.5 Creedmoor brass necked down, so reloaders have an easy path and factory ammunition availability has grown steadily since introduction.

Who Should Buy It

The Christensen Ridgeline FFT 25 Creedmoor suits deer, antelope, and open-country hunters who walk a lot of ground, and shooters who want long range performance without magnum recoil. It is also a strong pick for a younger or recoil-sensitive hunter moving up from a 243. If you are after elk or moose at distance, a 7mm PRC or 300 magnum will carry more energy, and if you want the cheapest possible ammunition, a 6.5 Creedmoor is still easier to find on a shelf.
