Christensen Arms Mesa FFT Titanium – Superb 25 Creedmoor Rifle

Description

The Christensen Arms Mesa FFT Titanium in 25 Creedmoor is a lightweight mountain rifle built around a titanium receiver rather than the steel or aluminum most factory rifles use. It runs a 20 inch threaded barrel in burnt bronze Cerakote, an FFT carbon fiber stock with green and tan accents, and holds 4+1. Christensen backs it with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.

Christensen Arms Mesa FFT Titanium Receiver and Weight

The titanium receiver is the reason this rifle exists in a separate line. Titanium is roughly 40 percent lighter than steel at comparable strength, which removes weight from the exact middle of the rifle where you feel it most when carrying. It is drilled and tapped for standard bases and wears the same burnt bronze Cerakote as the barrel, so the rifle reads as one piece.

FFT stands for Flash Forged Technology, Christensen own carbon fiber process, and it is used for the stock. Between the titanium receiver and the FFT stock, the Mesa FFT line starts at around 5.9 pounds. On a mountain hunt, that is the difference between a rifle you carry and a rifle you notice.

Barrel, Brake, and the 25 Creedmoor Cartridge

The barrel is 416R stainless steel in a featherlight contour, cut to 20 inches and threaded 1/2×28 with a seamless radial brake fitted. The brake is removable, so a suppressor or a thread protector goes on without trouble. Twenty inches suits 25 Creedmoor well: it is an efficient cartridge that does not need a long tube to reach its potential.

25 Creedmoor is the newest of the Creedmoor family and it fills a real gap. It pushes 6.5mm-class high-BC bullets in .257 diameter fast and flat, with less recoil than 6.5 PRC and noticeably more reach than 6mm Creedmoor. For deer, antelope, and open-country hunting it is close to ideal, and factory ammunition availability has improved quickly since its introduction.

Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Arms Mesa FFT Titanium

Weight, and where the weight is saved. Plenty of rifles shave ounces from the barrel or the stock, but very few take it out of the receiver. Doing so changes how the rifle balances in the hand rather than just what the scale reads, and it makes a rifle that hangs well offhand rather than feeling nose-light.

The rest of the package supports that. A TriggerTech trigger, a spot-bedded carbon stock, a removable brake, and a written sub-MOA guarantee mean the rifle shoots to a standard, not just carries well. Cerakote on both the barrel and the titanium receiver handles weather without complaint.

Who Should Buy It

Mountain hunters, backpack hunters, and anyone chasing deer, antelope, or sheep who counts every ounce on the way up. It is also a strong pick for recoil-sensitive shooters, since 25 Creedmoor with the brake fitted is genuinely mild. If you mostly shoot from a bench or a bipod at the range, a heavier steel-receiver rifle will cost less and hold up better through long strings of fire.
