Description

Christensen Ridgeline FFT 22 Creedmoor rifle with 24 inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel, burnt bronze Cerakote receiver and carbon stock with green and tan accents

The Christensen Ridgeline FFT 22 Creedmoor pairs a 24 inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel with one of the flattest-shooting cartridges you can put in a short action. The receiver is burnt bronze Cerakote steel, drilled and tapped, and the stock is Christensen Sporter FFT carbon fiber in carbon with green and tan accents. Capacity is 4+1 and Christensen guarantees sub-MOA accuracy.

Christensen Ridgeline FFT 22 Creedmoor Barrel

The barrel is a 416R stainless steel core wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber, button rifled, match chambered, and free floating the full length of the forend. At 24 inches it gives 22 Creedmoor the room it needs to reach the velocities that make the cartridge worth chambering, and the carbon wrap keeps the weight and the heat under control despite the length.

The muzzle is threaded with a removable brake fitted, so a suppressor or a thread protector can go on instead. On a cartridge that recoils this little, the brake is arguably optional, but it does make spotting your own impacts even easier.

The 22 Creedmoor Cartridge and What It Does

22 Creedmoor is a 6.5 Creedmoor case necked down to .224. Out of a 24 inch barrel it drives 80 to 90 grain high-BC bullets in the neighborhood of 3,200 to 3,300 feet per second, which produces a trajectory flat enough that holdover stops being much of a guessing game inside 500 yards.

What makes it special is that all of that comes with recoil closer to a 223 than a 6mm. You can watch bullet impact through the scope without breaking position, which matters enormously on a second coyote or a follow-up shot. Where it is legal for deer, the heavier bonded and monolithic bullets make it a capable big game round as well.

Action, Stock, and Trigger

The receiver is precision machined by Christensen Arms with a Remington 700 footprint, so bases and rings are easy to find. It ships drilled and tapped in burnt bronze Cerakote to match the barrel finish. The trigger is a TriggerTech with the company frictionless release.

The Sporter FFT stock uses Christensen Flash Forged Technology carbon fiber with spot bedding and carbon fiber bedding pillars, which gives the action a rigid, repeatable platform without adding weight. The carbon with green and tan accent pattern works well in timber and mixed country.

Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Ridgeline FFT 22 Creedmoor

The combination is hard to find elsewhere. A carbon wrapped barrel long enough to make 22 Creedmoor perform, a bedded carbon stock, a TriggerTech trigger, and a written accuracy guarantee, all in a rifle light enough to carry. Most rifles that shoot this flat and this softly are heavy target guns.

It is worth being honest about barrel life. 22 Creedmoor burns a lot of powder behind a small bore, so barrels wear faster than a 223 or a 6.5 Creedmoor would. Most owners accept that in exchange for the performance, but it is a real cost of ownership.

Who Should Buy It

The Christensen Ridgeline FFT 22 Creedmoor suits predator and varmint hunters who take long shots and want to spot their own impacts, and shooters who want extreme flatness without recoil. It also serves as a deer rifle where 22 caliber centerfires are legal. If you shoot high volume and want to minimize cost, a 223 Remington will be far cheaper in both ammunition and barrels, and if you need more terminal energy for elk-sized game, step up to a 6.5 or 7mm.
