Beretta BRX1 308 Winchester Barrel and Muzzle
The 20 in. barrel is cold hammer forged from Beretta Steelium alloy, the same process the company uses on its shotgun barrels. Rifling is a 1:10 twist, which is the standard pitch for 308 Winchester and handles everything from 150 grain hunting loads to 175 grain match bullets.

How the Straight Pull Action Works
Eight locking lugs engage directly into the barrel extension rather than into the receiver. Pulling the handle straight back rotates the bolt head through a cam track, unlocking it, extracting and ejecting, and pushing forward strips the next round and locks up again. It is one motion instead of four.
The controls are fully ambidextrous, and the bolt handle itself can be swapped to the other side, so left handed shooters get the same rifle rather than a compromise. A three position safety on the bolt tang operates silently, which matters more in a hunting blind than most catalogue features do.
