Description
The Beretta 80X RDO Plate Kit Holosun 407K is the factory way to put a micro red dot on your Beretta 80X Cheetah. It is an optic plate, part E03617, that bolts to the RDO milled slide and gives you the Holosun K footprint, so you can mount a 407K or another optic with the same pattern.

Beretta 80X RDO Plate Kit Holosun 407K Overview
The 80X Cheetah is a modern take on the classic Beretta Cheetah, and its RDO slide ships with a cover plate over the optic cut. This kit replaces that cover with an H pattern plate made by Beretta to match the Holosun 407K. The kit includes the plate and a Beretta supplied M3x9 screw with a thread lock patch to hold the optic. The M3x5 screws you remove with the factory cover plate are reused to fasten the plate to the slide.
Please note: the red dot itself is not included, even though our distributor title mentions Holosun red dot optics.
Compatible Optics
Beretta lists the Holosun 407K as the target optic for this plate. Other sights that share the identical K footprint, such as the 507K, will also fit. Holosun EPS Carry models may need the included screws modified for a proper fit, and Beretta says any shortening of screws should only be done by a trained gunsmith. Always check that the screw does not bottom out or reach the firing pin channel.
Compatible Pistols
This plate fits 80X Cheetah series pistols with the RDO milled slide. It does not fit standard 80X slides without the optic cut, and it is not made for the 92, APX or PX4 lines, which use their own plates.
Installation Steps
Unload the pistol and remove the slide. Take off the factory cover plate and save the M3x5 screws. Clean the cut and the screw holes with a degreaser, then set the plate in place and fasten it with the original screws. Set the optic on the plate and secure it with the supplied screw. Torque everything to the values in your optic manual, then let the thread lock cure before you shoot.
Why Use a Factory Plate
A factory plate is machined to match the slide cut exactly. That gives a tight fit with no rocking, so the optic holds zero and the screws do not work loose under recoil. It also keeps the optic low on the slide, which helps you find the dot quickly when you bring the gun up.
A Red Dot on a 380 Pistol
The 80X is a soft shooting 380 ACP pistol with a light trigger, which makes it a great match for a micro red dot. A dot lets you keep both eyes open and focus on the target, and it makes the small 80X easier to shoot well at the range or for carry.
Zeroing After Install
Once the optic is mounted, zero it at 10 to 15 yards, which suits a compact 380 pistol and the distances where most carry and defense shooting happens. Fire groups of three to five rounds before each change, and confirm the zero with the load you plan to carry. Check the screws again after the first range session, since new parts can settle a little.
Holster Fit
Adding an optic changes how the pistol sits in a holster. Look for a holster made for the 80X with an optic cut, or one that is open at the top of the slide. Practice your draw with an unloaded gun so the dot shows up in the window every time.
