Description
The Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable ODG is Trijicon’s 3.25 MOA adjustable LED RMR finished in OD Green Cerakote. It delivers the same duty-proven durability as the black model, in a color that matches green-furniture rifles and two-tone pistols.
Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable ODG Overview
Trijicon part RM06-C-700695 is a Type 2 RMR, the second-generation design with upgraded electronics, battery contacts and adjusters. The adjustable LED provides 8 brightness settings, two of them night vision compatible, plus an automatic mode that tracks ambient light. No mount is included, so you can pair it with the plate or rail mount that fits your gun.
Choosing the 3.25 MOA Dot
The 3.25 MOA dot is the most popular RMR configuration because it balances speed and precision. It covers under an inch at 25 yards, small enough for accurate shots on a pistol and fine enough for rifle offset use, yet still quick to find during the draw. If you are buying one RMR for general use, this is usually the size to choose.
Controls and Battery
Push buttons on both sides of the housing adjust brightness through 8 settings, including 2 night vision compatible levels and a super-bright setting, toggle between manual and automatic brightness, and power the sight down for storage. Trijicon rates battery life at over 4 years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8. A lockout feature prevents accidental changes, and the sight remembers your last setting.
Mounting Options
No mount is included. The RMR footprint is the most widely supported optic pattern, so plates are available for nearly every optic-ready pistol, and Picatinny mounts are available for rifles and shotguns. Confirm your slide cut and buy the matching plate or mount.
Built for Abuse
The RMR is famous for durability. Its forged aluminum body uses a patented housing shape that steers impact energy away from the lens, and the sight is waterproof to 66 feet. Windage and elevation adjust 1 MOA per click with no special tools needed. This model is finished in OD Green Cerakote, a popular match for green-furniture rifles and two-tone pistols. Cerakote is a durable ceramic coating that resists corrosion and abrasion, though it will show edge wear over time.
Honest Considerations
OD Green is a niche color, so matching holsters, mounts and plates may need to be ordered in black or painted. The RMR window is smaller than many newer optics, and the bottom-loading battery means removing the sight to change it.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
