Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless 9mm Compact 13+1 — Superb Two-Tone Pistol

Description

The Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless is the two-tone version of the coloured GX2, catalogued as 1-GX2939C. A matte stainless slide sits over a cyan polymer frame, the chambering is 9mm Luger, the magazine holds 13 and the barrel measures 3.37 inches of matte stainless steel.

Pairing stainless with a light frame colour is a more considered combination than it first looks. Both parts are matte, so nothing reflects; the slide and the frame are close enough in tone to read as one gun rather than two halves; and neither surface is painted, so neither wears through to something different underneath.

MAG5 Firearms has the Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless in stock. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL on a signed 4473, and we coordinate the transfer with your dealer.

A finish that lasts as long as the gun

• Matte stainless on the slide and barrel, which resists sweat and humidity better than a coating over carbon steel.
• Cyan polymer moulded in colour rather than painted, so scratches do not expose black plastic.
• The Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless has no optic cut, which means no cover plate to loosen and no cavity to collect grit.
• Matte throughout, so there is no glare from the slide top and no flash to give away a concealed position.
• Unmistakable in a safe or a range bag, which matters in any household with more than one handgun.

Capacity, carry and controls

• Thirteen rounds plus one chambered, from a magazine that stacks in a shallow double column to keep the grip narrow.
• A 3.37-inch barrel, short enough for appendix or strong-side carry and long enough to keep the irons useful.
• Integral Picatinny rail under the dust cover for a compact weapon light or laser.
• Textured panels across the grip and front strap that hold the hand under recoil.
• The Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless is striker fired, with the same trigger weight and travel on every shot.

Ammunition is uncomplicated. Every 9mm Luger load from a reputable maker is produced to the chamber and pressure standard published by SAAMI, so practice ball and defensive hollow points both headspace and cycle correctly in this barrel. We stock CCI Blazer Brass 9mm by the case and Buffalo Bore 9mm +P for carry.

The same colour with a black slide is the GX2 Cyan, and the optic-ready version is the GX2 TORO Cyan. For the same two-tone finish on a black frame, see the GX2 Stainless. Compare the rest of our semi-automatic handguns too.

Why this GX2 earns its place

• The Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless puts a corrosion-resistant slide and 13+1 of 9mm in a concealable pistol at a low price.
• Neither the slide finish nor the frame colour is applied, so neither ages badly.
• Spare magazines are inexpensive, which keeps regular practice affordable.
• Holsters and light mounts are shared across the whole GX2 family.
• Taurus backs it with a limited lifetime repair policy that follows the firearm rather than the original buyer.

This suits a daily carrier who wants a distinctive pistol and a finish that will survive being worn against the body. The Taurus GX2 Cyan Stainless is also a sound first handgun, because the colour makes it unmistakable in a shared safe and the price leaves room for a holster, ammunition and a class, which together matter more than the gun does.
