The Taurus 605 Poly Protector is the polymer-framed version of the small-frame 357, catalogued as 2-605029PLY. Five rounds of 357 Magnum or 38 Special +P, a 2-inch black stainless barrel, a matte stainless cylinder and a polymer-over-steel frame with a ridged rubber grip.

The frame is the point. Taurus moulds polymer around a steel skeleton, which takes weight out of the gun without asking the polymer to contain any pressure.
