Description
The Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm Manual Safety is the seventeen-round XMACRO fitted with a thumb safety. It is the highest-capacity pistol in the P365 line that still carries concealed, and the safety makes it usable where a striker gun without one would not be permitted.
Why the Thumb Safety
A manual safety on a striker pistol is a personal call, and this configuration answers specific requirements. Some departments and ranges mandate one. Appendix carriers often want a mechanical block between the trigger and a loaded chamber while reholstering. Shooters raised on a 1911 already have the sweep built into their draw.
On the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm Manual Safety the lever sits under the thumb where it naturally rides, so disengaging happens as you build your grip rather than as an extra step. Everything else matches the standard model: the same 3.7-inch barrel, the same seventeen-round capacity, the same optic-ready slide.
Grip Module, Magwell and Backstraps
The XMACRO grip module is how SIG fitted seventeen rounds into a pistol this size without a grip that only suits large hands. Small, medium and large backstraps ship in the box, so the reach to the trigger is something you set rather than something you accept, which matters more than usual on a gun with a safety you also need to reach.
An integrated carry magwell is moulded in, making reloads far less fiddly than they would otherwise be. Both magazines are seventeen-round steel units with high-visibility followers, and a standard M1913 rail takes a compact weapon light without an adapter.

Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm Manual Safety: Optics and Sights
The slide is cut for the COMPACT footprint, matching the Shield RMSc pattern, so a ROMEO-X Compact or similar micro red dot mounts directly with no adapter plate. XRAY3 day and night sights are fitted at the factory and stay usable as a backup if the dot fails.
Who the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm Manual Safety Is For
Anyone whose agency, range or own preference requires a thumb safety and who does not want to give up capacity to get one. This is the uncompensated version with the full 3.7-inch barrel, so muzzle blast is mild and it suits indoor ranges and home defence.
Where It Sits in the Line
Against the compensated XMACRO the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm Manual Safety trades flatter tracking for less blast, and adds the safety lever. Against the P365X with a safety you gain five rounds and a fuller grip. Against the ten-round XMACRO it is the same pistol with seven more rounds per magazine, so buy this one unless your state caps capacity.
If you are new to carrying with a thumb safety, practise the sweep as part of your draw rather than as a separate motion. Done properly it costs no measurable time.
The no-safety and compensated versions of this pistol are listed in our handgun catalog. Factory specifications are published by SIG SAUER.
