Description
The Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm 17 Round is the uncompensated XMACRO, with the full 3.7-inch barrel rather than the shortened compensated one. It is the version to buy if you shoot indoors or at dusk, because the longer barrel means noticeably less muzzle blast and flash while keeping all seventeen rounds.
The Full-Length Barrel Version
The longer barrel gives slightly more velocity and, more to the point, a much more pleasant muzzle signature than the compensated model. If you keep this pistol for home defence, that matters: a comp indoors at night is genuinely disorienting. The Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm 17 Round gives up a little muzzle-rise control to get it.
Overall length is the same 6.6 inches either way, so holsters, concealment and carry position are unchanged between the two. The choice is purely about how you want the gun to behave when it fires.
Grip Module, Magwell and Backstraps
Seventeen rounds in a micro-compact is the headline, and the XMACRO grip module is how SIG got there without a grip that only suits large hands. Small, medium and large backstraps ship in the box, so the reach to the trigger is something you set rather than something you accept. An integrated carry magwell is moulded in, which makes reloads on a pistol this size far less fiddly.
Both included magazines are seventeen-round steel units with high-visibility followers. That is thirty-four rounds on hand out of the box, and a standard M1913 rail takes a compact weapon light without an adapter.

Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm 17 Round: Optics and Sights
The slide is cut for the COMPACT footprint, matching the Shield RMSc pattern, so a ROMEO-X Compact or similar micro red dot mounts directly with no adapter plate. XRAY3 day and night sights are fitted at the factory and remain usable as a backup if the dot fails. For a carry gun this size the dot is the biggest accuracy upgrade available.
Who the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm 17 Round Is For
Anyone who wants maximum capacity in a concealable pistol without the blast of a compensator. There is no manual thumb safety on this configuration; SIG builds the XMACRO with one and we list it separately. If you want four magazines instead of two, look at the TACOPS version.
Where It Sits in the Line
Against the compensated XMACRO the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro 9mm 17 Round trades flatter tracking for less blast and a slightly longer barrel. Against the P365X you gain five rounds and a fuller grip for a small cost in concealment. Against the base P365 it is a different class of pistol entirely: seven more rounds, a magwell, and adjustable backstraps.
If you are choosing between the XMACRO variants and shoot mostly outdoors in daylight, the compensated model is the better buy. If you shoot indoors, at a range with covered bays, or keep the pistol bedside, buy this one.
The compensated, manual-safety and TACOPS versions of this pistol are listed in our handgun catalog. Factory specifications are published by SIG SAUER.
