Description
The Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is the version of SIG’s modular striker pistol built to satisfy Massachusetts handgun regulations. Mechanically it is the same compact P320 sold everywhere else, with the same 3.9-inch barrel, the same optics cut and the same serialized chassis. What differs is the configuration it ships in and the approval behind it. UPC 798681703340.
What MA Compliant Actually Means
Massachusetts regulates handgun sales more tightly than most states, through an Attorney General consumer-protection regulation and a separate approved-firearms roster. A Massachusetts approved handgun has to meet requirements around load indicators or magazine disconnects, drop testing and materials, and it has to appear on the state list. Manufacturers build specific configurations to satisfy that, and the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is one of them.
For a buyer outside Massachusetts the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant changes almost nothing. The pistol shoots the same, takes the same magazines and accepts the same grip modules and slides as any other compact P320. It simply ships in a capacity and configuration that is legal in the strictest market SIG sells into.
If you are buying in Massachusetts, the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is the version you need. If you are buying in Pennsylvania, you can buy it perfectly happily, and you should know that the standard compact P320 is an equally good and often cheaper option.

The Pistol Underneath
The Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant uses a modular fire control unit: the serialized component is a small stainless chassis that lifts out of the polymer grip module. The grip is therefore a part rather than a firearm, and swapping to a different size or a full-length slide later means buying components, not another gun and another background check.
The Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant has a P320 optic ready slide cut for SIG’s PRO footprint, so a ROMEO or compatible dot mounts directly without milling. SIGLITE front and rear night sights sit underneath, with tritium that glows unaided in darkness for the ten to twelve year life of the vials rather than needing ambient light the way fibre optic does.
The barrel is 3.9 inches of carbon steel with a DLC coating under a black Nitron slide, the grip module is medium compact with an accessory rail, and takedown is the three-point system that requires no tools and no trigger press.

Honest Caveats Before You Buy
Buy this one for the right reason. If you do not live in Massachusetts and are not shipping there, the compliance is not doing anything for you. It is not a safety upgrade or a quality upgrade, it is a regulatory configuration. The standard compact P320 is the same pistol and frequently costs less, so compare the two rather than assuming the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is the better version.
Capacity on the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is ten rounds as shipped. Standard 15-round compact P320 magazines fit without modification where state law allows them, which includes Pennsylvania. Budget for a few if you are buying here.
Compliance rules change, and a roster listing at the time of manufacture is not a guarantee about any future date or any other state. If you are buying to transfer into Massachusetts, confirm the current status with your receiving dealer rather than relying on a product page. This is not legal advice and MAG5 Firearms is not a law firm.
On the platform generally: SIG ran a Voluntary Upgrade Program for the P320 in 2017 addressing drop safety, and current production including the Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant ships with that updated trigger group. Confirm upgrade status only if you are ever buying a used example. And check your red dot footprint before ordering, since the PRO cut is not the same as an RMR or Holosun K pattern.
Who it suits: Massachusetts buyers who need a compliant handgun without giving up the optics cut or the night sights, and anyone elsewhere who simply likes the pistol and finds this configuration at the right price. The Sig Sauer P320 Compact MA Compliant is the same capable compact under the paperwork.
