Description
The Rizzini BR110 Sporter 12 Gauge 32 Inch is an Italian competition over/under for sporting clays, trap and skeet shooters who want long barrels, a steady swing and a proven box-lock action without paying premium-gun prices.
Rizzini BR110 Sporter 12 Gauge 32 Inch Overview
Rizzini builds its guns in Marcheno, in Italy’s Val Trompia gunmaking valley, and Rizzini USA imports and services them here. The BR110 Sporter, now listed by the factory as the BR110 Sporting, uses a steel box-lock action with automatic ejectors and a single selective trigger, a 10x7mm ventilated top rib, ventilated side ribs and 3 inch chambers. Rizzini lists the 12 gauge at about 8 1/2 pounds. Older production, like the distributor photo at the top of this page, has blued barrels; current guns carry a gray Cerakote finish.
Built for Long Crossers
Thirty-two inch barrels have become the standard for serious sporting clays. The extra length and weight out front keep the gun moving through long crossers and quartering targets and fight the urge to stop the swing. The trade-off is a slightly slower start on close, fast birds, where a 30 inch gun is quicker. If most of your shooting is skeet, a shorter barrel may suit you better.
Stock and Fit
The Grade 2 Turkish walnut stock has a pistol grip, round forend and a half-inch rubber pad. Factory dimensions are about 14 3/4 inches length of pull, 1 9/16 inch drop at comb and 2 1/3 inch at heel. Rizzini builds the Sporter with either a fixed or an adjustable comb, and the distributor listing for this UPC does not say which, so ask us to confirm before you order if an adjustable comb matters to you.
Chokes and Patterns
The barrels are chrome-lined and take five extended chokes: cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified and full. Extended tubes are easy to change between stations and you can read the constriction at a glance. Pattern the gun with your usual target load before a tournament; a 12 gauge with 1 ounce or 1 1/8 ounce shells will cover nearly every presentation on a sporting course.
Recoil and Weight
At roughly 8 1/2 pounds the BR110 Sporter is heavy enough to soak up target loads through a 100-target round. Lighter shooters may find it tiring to carry between stations, but the weight is exactly what keeps felt recoil low once the gun is mounted. A good pull cart makes a long day much easier.
Value and Resale
The BR110 is the entry point into Rizzini competition guns. It skips the fancy engraving and higher wood grades of premium Italian models, and resale values are lower than a Beretta or Browning because fewer shooters know the name. What you do get is solid Italian construction, a lifetime of use and a lifetime warranty from Rizzini USA at a reasonable price.
State Laws and Ownership
Owning a competition over/under is legal in every state, though the paperwork differs. New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois and Hawaii require a permit or license before a dealer can transfer it, and California processes every sale through its own background check and waiting period. MAG5 Firearms does not ship firearms to Massachusetts or Oregon. Some clubs also limit shot size or require lead-free loads on certain fields, so check your home range rules before you buy shells in bulk.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires that this shotgun ship to a licensed FFL dealer, where you will complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a shotgun from a dealer, and some states set a higher age or add a waiting period. Check that the chokes and wrench are in the case when you pick it up, confirm whether your gun has the fixed or adjustable comb, and keep the box label for warranty registration with Rizzini USA.
