Description
The Rizzini BR110 Sporter IPS 12 Gauge 32 (model 2601-1232) is a 32 inch competition over/under with an adjustable rib and adjustable comb, built for sporting clays, trap and FITASC shooters who want to tune point of impact without paying premium-gun prices.
Rizzini BR110 Sporter IPS 12 Gauge 32 Overview
IPS is Rizzini’s name for its adjustable-rib competition configuration. The BR110 Sporter IPS uses the same box-lock action, automatic ejectors and single selective trigger as the rest of the BR110 family, with a matte gray Cerakote finish on receiver and barrels. The barrels are chrome-lined and back-bored, with ventilated side ribs and five extended chokes. Rizzini lists the gun at about 8 1/2 pounds, a good weight for absorbing recoil through a long day.
Adjustable Rib
An adjustable rib lets you move the gun’s point of impact up or down without changing how you mount it. Trap and FITASC shooters often want a gun that prints high so the target stays visible above the barrels, while some sporting shooters prefer a flatter setting. The adjustment is mechanical, so set it at the pattern board rather than by eye, and recheck it after shipping or heavy use.
Monte Carlo Adjustable Stock
The Grade 2 Turkish walnut stock has a Monte Carlo profile with an adjustable comb, a pistol grip, round forend and a half-inch rubber pad. Factory dimensions are about 14 3/4 inches length of pull, 1 1/2 inch drop at comb, 1 5/8 at the Monte Carlo and 2 1/2 at heel. Combined with the rib, the comb lets you set eye height and point of impact separately, which a fixed-stock field gun cannot do.
32 Inch Barrels
Thirty-two inch barrels have become the default for serious sporting clays. The added length and weight keep the gun moving through long crossers and resist the urge to stop the swing. The trade-off is speed on close, fast targets, where a 30 inch gun is easier to start. Back-boring and the long, extended chokes help keep patterns even and recoil soft with one-ounce and 1 1/8 ounce target loads.
Finish and Care
Cerakote is a thin ceramic-based coating that resists scratches, sweat and rust better than bluing, which suits a gun that gets handled on the course every weekend. Clean the extended chokes often, because carbon builds up quickly in the threads at high round counts. Check the rib and comb hardware for tightness every few hundred rounds, and keep a log of your settings.
Where It Fits
The BR110 Sporter IPS gives you adjustable rib and stock at a much lower price than most dedicated trap and sporting guns. You give up the finer wood, engraving and higher resale of premium models, but the function is there. It is a good first adjustable gun for a club shooter, and a sensible second gun for a competitor who wants a practice or backup gun that feels similar to a high-end one.
State Laws and Ownership
Owning a competition over/under is legal in every state, though the paperwork differs. New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois and Hawaii require a permit or license before a dealer can transfer it, and California processes every sale through its own background check and waiting period. Some clubs also limit shot size or require lead-free loads on certain fields to protect water and farmland, so check your home range’s rules before you buy shells in bulk.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires this shotgun to ship to a licensed FFL dealer, where you complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check before taking it home. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a shotgun from a dealer, and some states set a higher age or add a waiting period or permit.
