Description
The Radian Model 1 16 inch OD Green is a hand assembled .223 Wylde rifle built entirely from Radian’s own upgraded components. A 16 inch match grade threaded barrel, fully ambidextrous controls and an OD Green Cerakote receiver set make it one of the most complete factory ARs available.
Assembled One at a Time
Every Model 1 is put together by a single trained gunsmith who inspects it, test fires it and cleans it before it leaves the building. That is a genuinely different process from a production line, and it is a large part of what separates this rifle from the tier below it.
The upper receiver, lower receiver and handguard are Cerakoted together as a set, which is why the OD Green matches perfectly across all three rather than nearly matching. It is the kind of detail nobody advertises until they get it wrong.
Radian Model 1 16 inch OD Green Controls
Radian built its reputation on control upgrades, and the Model 1 is essentially a rifle made entirely from them. The Raptor-SD charging handle works from either side and vents gas forward, away from your face, which matters as soon as a suppressor goes on the muzzle.
The Talon modular safety selector gives you a choice of 45 or 90 degree throw and works from both sides of the receiver. For a left handed shooter, or anyone who trains from both shoulders, that is the difference between a rifle that fits and one you adapt to.
Barrel, Handguard and Furniture
The barrel is 16 inches, match grade, Cerakoted black and threaded at the muzzle. The .223 Wylde chamber safely fires 5.56 NATO while holding the tighter freebore of a match .223 chamber, so you get military ammunition compatibility without giving away accuracy with match loads.
The aluminum M-LOK handguard free floats the barrel and uses an integrated stainless steel anti-rotation pin in the upper, so the rail cannot shift under a mounted light or laser. The stock is a Magpul collapsible unit and the grip is a Magpul K2.

Ammunition and Practical Accuracy
A .223 Wylde chamber and a 16 inch match barrel shoot bulk 55 grain ball perfectly well, but the rifle rewards better ammunition. Sixty-two to 77 grain match loads are where the chamber earns its keep, and a good shooter with a magnified optic should see groups a standard mil-spec AR will not match.
Why Buyers Choose the Radian Model 1 16 inch OD Green
The Radian Model 1 16 inch OD Green arrives with every part an experienced owner would upgrade already fitted. Charging handle, safety, trigger, barrel and handguard are all the premium version, and the whole rifle is assembled and test fired by one person.
Who Should Buy It
Left handed shooters and anyone who trains from both shoulders, suppressor owners who want the Raptor-SD gas venting, and buyers who would otherwise spend the same money upgrading a base rifle one part at a time.
Be realistic about the trade-offs. This sits at the top of the AR-15 market on price, and no sights or optic are included, which is normal at this level because buyers have usually already chosen their glass.
