Description
The North American Arms Black Widow BWCA is the adjustable sight version of NAA’s 2 inch Black Widow combo. It comes with a 22 Magnum cylinder and a 22 Long Rifle cylinder, a heavy vent barrel, a bull cylinder and an oversized rubber grip, all on a stainless steel frame that weighs under 9 ounces.

North American Arms Black Widow BWCA Overview
What sets this model apart is the Marble Arms rear sight, which adjusts for elevation. That lets you zero the revolver for the exact 22 LR or 22 Magnum load you shoot most, rather than living with wherever fixed sights happen to land. For shooters who use a mini revolver for informal target work, small game or teaching, that adjustability is worth the small extra cost and the slightly taller sight profile.
Zeroing the Adjustable Sight
Because 22 LR and 22 Magnum loads shoot to different points of impact, the adjustable rear sight is genuinely useful on a combo gun. Pick a primary load, shoot a few groups from a rest at 10 yards and turn the elevation screw until the group centers. Note the setting, or count clicks, so you can return to it after switching cylinders. Do not force the screw past its stops.

Cylinder Swaps
Removing the cylinder is the same on every NAA mini: press the base pin latch, pull the pin forward, roll the cylinder out, and reverse the steps. Keep the unused cylinder in a small pouch so it stays clean. Only fire 22 LR in the LR cylinder and 22 WMR in the Magnum cylinder; the cases are different diameters and the wrong pairing can rupture a case.
How It Shoots
The oversized grip and 2 inch barrel make the BWCA one of the most shootable NAA revolvers. Recoil with 22 LR is negligible and 22 Magnum is still mild, though the muzzle blast is sharp. With the sight dialed in, most owners can keep shots on a playing card at 10 yards once they get used to thumb-cocking for each shot and the guardless spur trigger.

Carry Considerations
The taller adjustable sight is more likely to catch on a pocket lining than the fixed version, so a proper holster is a better choice than loose pocket carry. Always lower the hammer into one of the notches between chambers so it does not rest on a loaded round. Treat the revolver with the same care you would give any handgun with no manual safety.
Ammo Cost and Availability
22 LR is the cheaper option and is widely stocked again, so the LR cylinder can carry most of your practice. 22 Magnum costs noticeably more per round and has seen periodic shortages. Buy a few boxes of your chosen Magnum load when you find it, and confirm it groups well with your zero before relying on it.
State Laws and Ownership
Check your state and local rules before you buy. Some states require a permit to purchase a handgun, others keep rosters of approved models that may not include NAA mini revolvers, and a few cities ban carry in places that surrounding areas allow. If you plan to carry it, your concealed carry permit rules apply exactly as they would to a full-size handgun.
