Description
The North American Arms 22MS-P Ported is the magnum-only snub in NAA’s mini-revolver line: a 1-1/8 inch ported barrel, five chambers of 22 WMR and a stainless frame small enough to vanish in a vest pocket.

North American Arms 22MS-P Ported Overview
NAA lists the gun as model NAA-22MS-P (UPC 744253002151). Distributor data shows roughly 4.75 inches overall length and about 6.2 ounces, with wood grips and fixed sights. Compared with the convertible 22MSC-P, it skips the 22 LR cylinder, which keeps cost down and leaves nothing extra to store or lose.
Loading and Carry
Like every classic NAA mini-revolver, the 22MS-P is a single-action design: you thumb the hammer back for each shot, and the trigger only releases it. To load, you pull the cylinder pin, lift the cylinder out of the frame, load or unload it off the gun, and reinstall it. That is slow by design, so treat the five rounds in the cylinder as all you have. Between the chambers are safety notches, and the hammer should rest in one of them for carry, exactly as the owner’s manual describes.

Ports on a Snub Barrel
Porting on a barrel this short is mostly about taming the little upward kick of 22 Magnum in a gun that weighs about as much as a smartphone. Expect bright flash and sharp report, especially indoors. The tiny grip and short sight radius reward slow, deliberate shooting at close range; do not expect pistol-like accuracy past a few yards.
Ammunition
The 22MS-P is chambered only for 22 WMR (22 Magnum). Never fire 22 LR, 22 Short or 22 WRF in it. Magnum rimfire costs more per round than 22 LR and supply can be uneven, so buy a few boxes of the load you trust and test it in your revolver. Short barrels give up a lot of the velocity printed on the box, and loads designed for short barrels tend to expand more reliably than rifle-oriented ammunition.

Living With a Mini-Revolver
Be realistic about what a tiny rimfire revolver does well. The 22MS-P is loud for its size, flash is heavy in low light, and sights are minimal, so practical accuracy is measured in a few yards for most shooters. Rimfire ignition is less certain than centerfire, which is one more reason to test your carry ammunition. Use a proper holster that covers the trigger area; loose in a pocket is not acceptable.
Choosing the 22MS-P
This is the gun for someone who already knows they want 22 WMR only and the smallest practical size. If you would like cheaper practice, the 22MSC-P adds a 22 LR cylinder. If you find the snub too hard to shoot well, the 1-5/8 inch 22M-P is a little easier to control and carries almost as easily.
State Laws and Ownership
Pennsylvania buyers complete a standard handgun transfer with a PICS check at the receiving dealer, and carrying concealed outside your home or vehicle generally requires a License to Carry Firearms. Some states keep approved-handgun rosters (California and Massachusetts are the best-known examples) and may not allow the NAA 22MS-P Ported; New York, New Jersey and several cities add permit steps of their own. Check your state and local rules before ordering, because we cannot transfer a handgun into a jurisdiction that prohibits it.
