Description
The North American Arms 22LR Belt Buckle set (model NAA-22LR-BBS) pairs NAA’s 1-1/8 inch 22 Long Rifle mini revolver with the open-frame Skeleton Belt Buckle. The revolver locks into the buckle and stays visible through its cutout, so it works as both a conversation piece and a functional rimfire.
North American Arms 22LR Belt Buckle Overview
The revolver is stainless steel with a 1-1/8 inch barrel, five-shot cylinder, half-moon front sight and rosewood bird head grips. NAA lists it at about 4 inches long, 2.38 inches tall and 4.6 ounces. The skeleton buckle is made to fit standard belts, and the gun can be removed from it for cleaning or for carry in a regular holster.
A Belt Buckle That Holds a Revolver
The buckle replaces your normal belt buckle and holds the revolver securely on the front of the belt. It is a Western-flavored piece that many owners wear to events or keep as a display item. The open skeleton design shows off the gun rather than hiding it, which is part of the appeal. It also makes a natural centerpiece for a shadow box alongside other NAA items, and the buckle itself carries the NAA name so it reads as a factory set rather than an aftermarket add-on.
Carry Reality Check
Wearing a revolver on your belt buckle is open carry, and in many places it will draw attention. Check your state and local rules on open and concealed carry before wearing it in public, and remember that private businesses can prohibit firearms. For everyday concealed carry, a pocket holster is usually more practical.
22 LR Mini Basics
The 22 LR version is the smallest and quietest of the common NAA calibers, with very little recoil. From a 1-1/8 inch barrel it is a close-range tool. Ammunition is inexpensive and widely available, so practice is easy. Load only 22 Long Rifle in this cylinder, never 22 Magnum.
Safe Handling
The revolver is single action with an unguarded spur trigger. Always lower the hammer into a safety notch between chambers before seating it in the buckle. Remove it from the buckle before loading or unloading, and keep your finger clear of the trigger when placing it back.
Care and Display
Wipe the stainless revolver and buckle with a lightly oiled cloth after wearing to remove sweat and fingerprints. If you keep the set for display, store it unloaded and away from humidity. The rosewood grips benefit from an occasional wipe with a dry cloth; avoid soaking them in solvent.
State Laws and Ownership
Handgun rules differ from state to state. Rosters in California and Massachusetts, permit-to-purchase laws in states such as New York, New Jersey and Maryland, and local carry restrictions can all affect whether you can take delivery. Your receiving dealer can tell you what applies where you live, and it is worth asking before you check out.
