Description
The North American Arms 22LLR Mini Revolver is the 1-5/8 inch barrel version of NAA’s 22 Long Rifle mini. It keeps the tiny stainless frame and rosewood bird head grips, but the extra half inch of barrel adds a little velocity and a slightly longer sight line than the 1-1/8 inch model.

North American Arms 22LLR Mini Revolver Overview
Model NAA-22LLR weighs 4.8 ounces and measures 4.5 inches long, 2.38 inches tall and 0.88 inches wide. It holds five rounds of 22 LR, uses NAA’s half-moon front sight, and is a single action with a sheathed spur trigger. The cylinder is removed for loading. It is built entirely of stainless steel in Provo, Utah, and has been one of the company’s best sellers for decades.
1-5/8 Inch vs 1-1/8 Inch
The longer barrel is the reason to pick this one. It is still small enough for a front pocket, but it is a touch easier to aim and squeezes a bit more speed from 22 LR. If the absolute smallest package matters more, the 1-1/8 inch 22 LR is lighter and shorter.

Rosewood Grips
The standard rosewood bird head grip fits two fingers and gives the gun its classic look. NAA sells grip upgrades, including a holster grip and oversize rubber grips, that fit this frame if you want more to hold.
Loading and Safe Carry
Every NAA mini loads the same way: press the base pin latch, pull the cylinder pin, drop the cylinder out, load or punch out the five rounds and reassemble. After loading, lower the hammer into one of the notches cut between the chambers so it never rests on a live rim. Practice this with an empty gun until it is automatic.

Practical Use
This is a backup or a fun range piece. Practical accuracy is at close range, and the spur trigger and thumb-cocked hammer slow you down. Practice drawing from a pocket holster that covers the trigger, and keep the support hand clear of the muzzle and cylinder gap.
Ammunition Notes
Standard 22 Long Rifle works in this cylinder. High-velocity round-nose loads tend to run best in short barrels. Rimfire priming is less consistent than centerfire, so function-test any load you plan to carry.
State Laws and Ownership
Mini-revolvers are legal to own in most of the country, but several states limit which handguns a dealer may transfer. California, Massachusetts, Maryland and New York keep rosters or approval lists, and some cities require a purchase permit first. Concealed carry rules differ widely, and a permit is required in many states even for a revolver this small, so check your local law before you order.
