Description
The North American Arms 22 Mag Holster Grip (NAA-22M-HG) puts NAA’s folding holster grip on the 1-5/8 inch 22 Magnum mini-revolver. Folded, the grip becomes a clip-on case that covers the trigger; opened, it locks into a full handle. This five-shot stainless single action weighs about 6.5 ounces.

North American Arms 22 Mag Holster Grip Overview
NAA’s factory specifications are a 1.63 inch barrel, 5.13 inch overall length, 2.81 inch height, 1.06 inch width and a half-moon front sight. This model has only the 22 WMR cylinder; the convertible NAA-22MC-HG adds a 22 LR cylinder if you want cheaper practice. The magnum frame is noticeably larger than the 22 LR mini, which gives the folding grip more to work with and the shooter more control.
Folding Grip in Daily Carry
Closed, the grip clips inside a waistband, a front pocket or a boot top, and the polymer body keeps lint and grit away from the trigger. Many owners like it for activities where a conventional holster is awkward, such as fishing, gardening or riding. The clip tension is firm, but check that it holds on the belt or pocket you actually use.

Opening and Shooting
To shoot, rotate the grip open until it locks. The motion needs two hands at first and becomes one-handed only with practice. Once open, the handle gives a full two-finger hold that helps manage the 22 Magnum’s muzzle rise. Thumb-cock the hammer for each shot and keep your fingers away from the front of the cylinder.
Magnum Considerations
22 WMR from a 1-5/8 inch barrel delivers more energy than 22 LR but much of the powder burns outside the muzzle, producing a loud report and visible flash. Use hearing protection and choose ammunition designed for short handgun barrels. Magnum rimfire ammunition also costs more, so budget for practice rounds.

Safety Notches and Carry
After loading, lower the hammer gently into one of the notches between chambers, then fold the grip closed. This keeps the firing pin off any cartridge rim while carried. Never fold the grip around a cocked revolver, and confirm the hammer is properly seated each time you holster.
Holster Grip vs Rubber Grip
The holster grip version is more self-contained than the rubber-grip carry combo but slower to put into action, because the grip has to be opened before firing. If quick access matters most, a conventional grip in a pocket holster is faster. If concealment and protecting the trigger matter more, the holster grip is hard to beat.
State Laws and Ownership
Ownership rules differ from state to state. Some states maintain approved handgun lists, and a model that is legal to own may still not be legal for a dealer to sell there, so confirm with your receiving dealer first. Permit-to-purchase states such as New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts add paperwork and wait times. Pocket carry needs a concealed carry license in many places, and some cities add their own restrictions.
