Description
The Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle is the enclosed pistol sight with a switchable reticle: a 2 MOA red dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both together. Sealed emitter, aspheric lens, 1.4 ounces, K footprint with an RMR adapter plate in the box. Part EPS-RD-MRS.

Which EPS Is This One
Holosun sells six sights under the EPS and EPS Carry names including the Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle and they are genuinely different, so here is exactly what you are looking at rather than a part number to decode.
This is the full size EPS, red, with the Multi Reticle System. Its siblings are the same housing in green and gold, and the plain dot versions in 2 MOA and 6 MOA that have no circle at all. The Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle is the one to buy if you want the reticle to change with the job rather than committing to a single sight picture on the day you order.
The Ring Is How You Learn A Pistol Optic
Every shooter new to a red dot has the same first experience: the gun comes up and the dot is not there. It is not a fault in the sight, it is that a dot only appears when the optic is aligned, and a presentation that was good enough for iron sights is not yet good enough for glass.
The 32 MOA circle on the Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle fixes that faster than practice alone. The ring is large enough that your eye catches it even when the gun is not quite right, and it drags your attention to the centre where the dot is waiting. Run the Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle with circle and dot while your draw is forming, then drop to the bare 2 MOA dot once the gun arrives in the same place every time. Both come from the same emitter, so switching never needs a re-zero.
Enclosed, Because A Carry Gun Collects Things
An open reflex sight, unlike the Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle, fires its emitter upward from an exposed shelf at a lens. It works until holster lint, sweat, sunscreen, gun oil or rain lands on that emitter, at which point the reticle dims or dies and you find out at the worst possible moment.
The Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle has no exposed emitter. The assembly is sealed inside the housing with glass at both ends, so there is nothing for debris to land on and nothing to wipe before you can trust the dot. That is the single most meaningful durability difference in the pistol optic market and the reason enclosed sights have taken over carry and duty use.
Aspheric Lens And A Low Deck
Enclosed sights put two pieces of glass between your eye and the target instead of one, and cheap execution shows up as a dim, faintly distorted window with a blue cast at the edges. The Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle uses an aspheric lens, whose curve is not a simple section of a sphere, to keep the image geometrically honest across the whole window rather than only in the middle.
That matters more on the Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle than on the plain dot versions, because a circle is far less forgiving of distortion than a dot is. A dot that goes slightly oval near the edge of the glass is hard to notice. A 32 MOA ring that goes egg shaped is obvious, and it would undermine the one feature you bought the sight for.
The Plate Is In The Box
The Holosun EPS Red Multi Reticle mounts directly to a K footprint slide, and Holosun includes an RMR to K adapter plate. That means a full size slide cut for an RMR takes this sight too, without a separate purchase, which removes the usual friction from upgrading off an open sight you already own.
One number to check first: adjustments move 1.5 MOA per click across 30 MOA of travel each way, coarser and shorter than the full size 407 and 507 optics. On a true slide cut that is ample. Through a stacked plate on a pistol that already points slightly off it is less headroom than you may expect, so if a previous optic fought you on that gun, mention it before you order.

Ordering
Manufacturer specifications are published at Holosun. We are a family owned FFL dealer in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and we would rather confirm your slide cut with you first than have the sight come back. All six EPS variants are in our optics selection, each now named for what it actually is rather than all called EPS.
