Description
The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA is the enclosed pistol sight with a single red 6 MOA dot. Sealed emitter, aspheric lens, ultra low deck height, 1.4 ounces, and an RMR to K adapter plate in the box. No circle, no reticle menu. Part EPS-RD-6.

Which EPS Is This One
Holosun sells six sights under the EPS and EPS Carry names including the Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA and they are genuinely different, so it is worth being explicit rather than making you decode a part number.
This is the full size EPS, red, with a 6 MOA dot and no circle. Its siblings are the same housing in green and gold, the 2 MOA versions with a finer dot, and the MRS versions that add a 32 MOA ring you can switch on. The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA is the choice for a gun that gets carried rather than shot from a bench, where finding the dot fast matters more than shooting a tight group with it.
Six MOA Is A Carry Decision
The 6 MOA dot on the Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA covers an inch and a half at twenty five yards and six inches at a hundred. Against a 2 MOA dot it gives away precision at distance and buys speed up close, and for a defensive pistol that is a trade most shooters should take.
The larger dot is quicker to find on a draw from concealment, easier to track through recoil, and far more forgiving when the gun does not arrive perfectly presented. An inch and a half at twenty five yards sits well inside anything that matters at defensive distance. The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA is sized for a gun that gets presented under stress, and the precision it gives up is precision you would rarely be able to use.
Enclosed, Because A Carry Gun Collects Things
An open reflex sight, unlike the Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA, fires its emitter upward from an exposed shelf at a lens. It works until holster lint, sweat, sunscreen, gun oil or rain lands on that emitter, at which point the reticle dims or dies and you find out at the worst possible moment.
The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA has no exposed emitter. The assembly is sealed inside the housing with glass at both ends, so there is nothing for debris to land on and nothing to wipe before you can trust the dot. That is the single most meaningful durability difference in the pistol optic market and the reason enclosed sights have taken over carry and duty use.
Ultra Low Deck Height And An Aspheric Lens
Deck height on the Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA is how far the optical axis sits above the mounting surface, and it never appears in a comparison chart. A lower sight means less offset between your line of sight and the bore, which matters at contact distance, and it means standard height irons are far more likely to show in the bottom of the window rather than disappearing below it. The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA is built deliberately low for both reasons, which on an enclosed sight takes real engineering.
The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA lens is aspheric rather than a simple section of a sphere. Enclosed sights put two pieces of glass between your eye and the target instead of one, and cheap execution shows up as a dim, faintly distorted window. An aspheric lens keeps the image geometrically honest across the whole window rather than only in the middle, so the dot stays round near the edges and the picture does not shift as your head moves.
The Plate Is In The Box
The Holosun EPS Red 6 MOA mounts directly to a K footprint slide, and Holosun includes an RMR to K adapter plate. That means a full size slide cut for an RMR takes this sight too, without a separate purchase, which removes the usual friction from upgrading off an open sight you already own.
One number to check first: adjustments move 1.5 MOA per click across 30 MOA of travel each way, coarser and shorter than the full size 407 and 507 optics. On a true slide cut that is ample. Through a stacked plate on a pistol that already points slightly off it is less headroom than you may expect, so if a previous optic fought you on that gun, mention it before you order.

Manufacturer specifications are published at Holosun. One note if you read that page: Holosun list the wavelength as 590nm, which contradicts every other red emitter in their range at 650nm and appears to be a typo on their side, so we have left the figure off rather than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
We are a family owned FFL dealer in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and we would rather confirm your slide cut with you first than have the sight come back. All six EPS variants are in our optics selection, each now named for what it actually is.
