Description

The Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot is the X3 generation of Holosun’s most copied pistol optic, built around a gold Multi Reticle System instead of the usual red or green. Part HS507C-X3-GD, RMR footprint, solar failsafe, and a battery that outlives most of the guns it gets bolted to.

Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot

Gold Is The Reason To Buy This One

Holosun emits the Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot reticle at 590nm, which is the amber end of the visible spectrum. It is not a color choice made for looks, it is a contrast choice, and it solves a real problem.

Red reticles vanish against brick, rust, brown steel and anything warm toned. Green reticles vanish against grass, foliage and green painted plate racks. Gold at 590nm sits between the two and matches almost nothing you will be shooting at, which is precisely why the Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot stays visible where the other two struggle. If you have ever lost a dot on a target and blamed yourself, the color may have been the culprit.

Multi Reticle System, Three Ways To Aim

The Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot gives you a 2 MOA dot on its own, a 32 MOA circle on its own, or the circle with the dot inside it. All three come from the same emitter, so switching between them does not move your point of impact and there is nothing to re-zero.

The 32 MOA circle is what makes a red dot easy to learn. On the draw your eye finds a large ring far faster than it finds a small dot, and the ring drags your attention to the center where the dot is waiting. Once the presentation is habit, drop to the bare 2 MOA dot for a clean window and precise work. Most people end up leaving it on circle and dot, and that is a perfectly good answer.

Solar Failsafe And Up To 100,000 Hours

A solar panel on top of the Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot harvests ambient light and keeps the sight running even with the battery dead or removed. The CR1632 underneath is rated at 50,000 hours at brightness setting six, with up to 100,000 hours available at lower settings.

The tray loads from the side, so changing a cell on the Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot never means unbolting the optic and never puts your zero in question. Shake Awake shuts the sight down when the pistol sits still and wakes it the moment you touch the gun, which is how those runtime numbers survive contact with reality. Eight daylight settings, four night vision settings, memory for your last choice, and a lockout so a holster cannot change any of it.

RMR Footprint Means It Fits What You Already Own

The Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot uses the RMR footprint, the most widely supported mounting pattern in the pistol optic world. If your slide is cut for an RMR, or your MOS plate is, this bolts on with no new hardware. Coming off another 507C sized sight, it drops into the same holes.

The Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot body measures 1.78 by 1.31 by 1.1 inches and weighs 1.55 ounces, with a 0.91 by 0.67 inch window. Adjustments move 1 MOA per click across 50 MOA of travel in each direction, which is enough range for any sane slide cut and fine enough to actually dial a zero rather than approximate one.

Built To Be Carried, Not Coddled

The Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot is 7075 T6 aluminum, hard anodized black, with an IP67 water and dust rating and 5000G of vibration resistance. IP67 means complete dust exclusion and immersion in a metre of water for thirty minutes. The 5000G figure matters on a pistol, where slide reciprocation punishes an optic far harder than a rifle ever does.

Those are measured standards rather than adjectives, and together they explain why the Holosun 507C X3 Gold Dot shows up on duty guns and competition guns alike rather than living on a safe queen.
