Description
The Apollo Custom Glock 43X Crushed Orchid pairs a genuine Glock 43X MOS with a Crushed Orchid Cerakote frame and an Armor Black Cerakote slide. Underneath the finish nothing has changed: a 3.41-inch barrel, 10+1 rounds of 9mm, the MOS optic cut and two magazines in the box.
The Finish
The Glock 43X Crushed Orchid wears Crushed Orchid Cerakote on its polymer frame, a muted lavender rather than a bright purple.
Armor Black Cerakote on the slide, which is what gives the Apollo Custom Glock 43X Crushed Orchid its two-tone contrast.
Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that cures hard and resists solvents, so holster wear shows slowly.
The factory grip texture is preserved under the coating rather than being filled in.
MOS Optic Cut and Carry Dimensions
MOS optic cut in the slide, so a red dot mounts with the appropriate Glock adapter plate.

Overall length 6.5 inches, weight 16.4 ounces unloaded.
Single-stack magazine holding ten rounds, with two magazines supplied.
White dot front sight and white outline rear, the standard Glock arrangement.

The 43X is the Glock that solved the slim-carry problem. It keeps the narrow single-stack slide of the 43 but lengthens the grip to a full-hand hold, which is the single biggest factor in how well a small pistol shoots. Adding the MOS cut makes it one of the few genuinely slim pistols that takes a red dot without custom milling. At 16.4 ounces it carries like a subcompact and shoots like something larger.
Why it is worth considering
- Genuine Glock 43X MOS, not a clone or an aftermarket build.
- Two-tone Cerakote applied over the factory texture.
- Optic cut from the factory, no milling required.
- Full-length grip on a slim slide, which is what makes the 43X shoot well.
- Two magazines included.
Who it suits
Shooters who carry daily and want a slim pistol that takes a red dot are the natural buyers, and the finish makes it easy to tell apart from an identical black gun in a household with more than one. Because it is a standard 43X underneath, every holster, magazine, sight and adapter plate made for the model fits.

Optics, Ammunition and Alternatives
The MOS cut takes a Glock adapter plate, and the plate you need depends on the optic footprint. Most compact red dots in the Shield RMSc pattern sit low enough on a 43X that the factory sights remain visible underneath. For practice, 115-grain full metal jacket is the standard load. For carry, a 124-grain jacketed hollow point gets good performance from a 3.41-inch barrel. Because the 43X uses a single-stack magazine, spares are worth buying early; the ten-round magazines are the standard Glock part.
All firearm orders ship to a licensed FFL dealer for transfer, and MAG5 Firearms will coordinate the paperwork with the dealer of your choice.
A word on why the grip length matters so much. Recoil control on a small pistol comes mostly from how much of your hand is on the gun, not from weight. A two-finger grip lets the muzzle rotate; a full three-finger grip does not. The 43X frame is the same height as a Glock 19, which is why a Glock 43X Crushed Orchid shoots noticeably better than a 43 despite being the same width and only a little heavier.
Concealment is unaffected by that extra grip length for most people, because a slim slide hides under a shirt better than a thick one does regardless of how tall the grip is. Printing usually comes from width, not height, which is the whole argument for the single-stack 43X over a double-stack subcompact.
