Built for Big Game and Bear Country

• Made for revolvers chambered in .480 Ruger
• Suited to elk, moose, hogs and other large game at handgun ranges
• Serious protection when hiking or fishing in bear country
• Consistent, full-power velocities from box to box

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance DoubleTap builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the DoubleTap 480 Ruger 370gr Hardcast until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

Why Choose DoubleTap 480 Ruger Ammo

Anyone shopping for 480 ruger hardcast ammo is usually heading somewhere with big animals. This DoubleTap load pushes a heavy bullet to about 1275 fps from a 6 inch barrel, producing roughly 1335 ft-lbs of energy for hunting and woods protection.

The 480 ruger 370 grain wide flat nose bullet is cast hard so it does not deform on bone or thick hide. Instead of expanding, it keeps driving forward, and the broad flat nose crushes a wide channel along the way, which is the formula many guides trust for dangerous game.

If you already carry doubletap 480 ruger ammo, this hardcast load gives you a single round that can handle elk season and bear country alike.

DoubleTap Ammunition is an American company known for loading popular calibers to their full potential, especially the 10mm Auto and other magnum handgun rounds. Doubletap 480 ruger ammo is loaded with quality components and brass cases, and many shooters choose it when they want the performance a caliber was designed for rather than a reduced-power range load.

This ammunition is a good fit for owners of the Ruger Super Redhawk, Ruger Super Blackhawk and other revolvers chambered in .480 Ruger who hunt big game or spend time in bear country. Use it only in firearms chambered for .480 Ruger. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for .480 Ruger, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local laws.
