Description

The DoubleTap 223 Rem 69gr HPBT load is built for shooters who want more from their 223 Remington than typical factory ammunition delivers. DoubleTap loads a 69 grain hollow point boat tail (HPBT) match bullet to a rated 3000 feet per second, producing about 1379 foot-pounds of energy from a 22 inch barrel. Part of the DT Longrange line, this 69 grain match bullet is a popular choice for accuracy work with an AR-15 or bolt-action 223.

Why Choose the DoubleTap 223 Rem 69gr HPBT

• 69 grain HPBT match bullet

Built for Precision

• Precision and long-range target shooting
• Competition such as service rifle and practical rifle matches
• Varmint shooting where accuracy matters most
• AR-15 rifles with 1:7 to 1:9 twist barrels and precision bolt guns

Many AR-15 owners keep a few different loads on hand. The DoubleTap 223 Rem 69gr HPBT sits between the 62 grain practice loads and the heavier 77 grain HPBT, which makes it a good all-around precision round for most barrels.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance DoubleTap builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the DoubleTap 223 Rem 69gr HPBT until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

Why Choose DoubleTap 223 Rem Ammo

Heavier match bullets hold their velocity and resist wind better than light FMJ practice rounds. DoubleTap rates this 69 grain load at 3000 fps and 1379 foot-pounds from a 22 inch barrel, with about 2880 fps from a 20 inch and 2800 fps from a 16 inch carbine, so it performs well across common barrel lengths.

When you compare 223 rem match ammo, bullet quality and consistency are what shrink your groups. This 223 rem 69 grain hpbt load stabilizes best in barrels with a 1:7 to 1:9 twist, and it is labeled 223 Remington so it can be fired in rifles marked 223 or 5.56 NATO.

DoubleTap Ammunition is an American company known for loading popular calibers to their full potential, especially the 10mm Auto and other magnum handgun rounds. Doubletap 223 rem ammo is loaded with quality components and brass cases, and many shooters choose it when they want the performance a caliber was designed for rather than a reduced-power range load.

Precision shooters, competitors and AR-15 owners who want tighter groups at distance will find this a strong match load. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for 223 Remington, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local laws.
