Description

The Christensen Arms Summit TI 6.5 PRC is a titanium actioned mountain rifle with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and an aerograde carbon fiber thumbhole stock. It is built for the hunter who counts every ounce on the way up and still wants a half MOA rifle at the top.
Christensen Arms Summit TI 6.5 PRC Barrel and Muzzle
The 24 in. barrel is a 416R stainless core in a light target contour, hand lapped and then wrapped in aerospace grade carbon fiber. That construction sheds close to a pound against a steel barrel of the same profile while holding stiffness, and the carbon shell pulls heat out of the steel faster than a bare tube does, so groups hold together over a longer string.
Rifling is a 1:8 twist, which is the right pitch for the heavy, high ballistic coefficient 6.5 PRC bullets in the 143 to 156 grain range. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and wears a removable titanium radial brake, so a suppressor goes on in its place without any gunsmithing.
Titanium Action and Carbon Stock
The receiver is machined from Ti-6AL-4V titanium on a Remington 700 footprint, trued in house and nitride treated. Titanium is roughly forty percent lighter than steel at comparable strength, and it does not rust, which matters on a rifle that spends its life wet. An integrated split Picatinny rail is machined into the top, removing the screws and bases that normally sit between your scope and the action.
The aerograde carbon fiber stock uses a thumbhole grip that puts the wrist straight behind the trigger. That geometry gives a more repeatable trigger pull from awkward field positions than a traditional sporter grip does, and the stock itself weighs a fraction of what a laminate or walnut equivalent would.

What 6.5 PRC Brings to the Mountain
6.5 PRC takes the bullets that made 6.5 Creedmoor popular and drives them roughly two hundred feet per second faster from a case that still fits a short magnum bolt face. In practice that means a flatter trajectory, less wind drift and enough retained energy for elk sized game out past six hundred yards.
The tradeoff is barrel life and recoil, and both are manageable here. The titanium brake takes the edge off the push, and a rifle this light is easier to carry all day than it is to shoot in a two hundred round range session, which is exactly the balance a hunting rifle should strike.
Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Arms Summit TI 6.5 PRC
Very few rifles combine a titanium action, a carbon wrapped barrel and a carbon stock at a starting weight of 5.5 lbs. while still carrying a half MOA guarantee. Most lightweight rifles ask you to accept a thin, whippy barrel and a group size that opens up after two shots. This one does not.
The Remington 700 footprint is the quiet practical advantage. Bases, triggers, bottom metal and aftermarket stocks are all available off the shelf if you ever want to change something.
Who Should Buy It
The Christensen Arms Summit TI 6.5 PRC suits backcountry sheep, goat and elk hunters who pack the rifle for miles, western hunters who need reach across a canyon, and anyone who has carried a ten pound magnum up a ridge and decided never to do it again. The thumbhole stock also suits shooters who want a locked in grip from a pack or a tripod.
