Description

The Christensen Arms Summit TI 7mm Rem Mag takes the classic western hunting cartridge and builds it into the lightest rifle Christensen Arms makes. A titanium receiver, a carbon fiber wrapped 26 inch barrel and an aerograde carbon sporter stock keep the starting weight near 5.5 lbs., and the half MOA accuracy guarantee still applies.
Christensen Arms Summit TI 7mm Rem Mag Barrel and Muzzle
The 26 in. barrel is a 416R stainless core in a light target contour, hand lapped and then wrapped in aerospace grade carbon fiber. That wrap sheds close to a pound against a bare steel barrel of the same shape and moves heat out of the steel faster, so the rifle keeps shooting straight past the first round.
7mm Remington Magnum wants barrel length. It burns a large charge of slow powder, and a 26 inch tube is where the velocity and the flat trajectory that made this cartridge famous actually appear. Rifling is a 1:9 twist, well matched to the 160 to 175 grain bullets most hunters choose for elk and open country deer.
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and carries a removable titanium radial brake. On a rifle this light the brake earns its place, and a suppressor threads on in its stead without gunsmithing.
Titanium Action and Carbon Sporter Stock
The receiver is machined from Ti-6AL-4V titanium, trued in house and nitride treated, with an integral 0 MOA split Picatinny rail so there are no bases or screws between your rings and the action. Titanium gives up roughly forty percent of the weight of steel at similar strength and it does not corrode, which is what you want in a rifle that gets rained on for a week straight.
The aerograde carbon fiber sporter stock keeps traditional hunting geometry. It comes to the shoulder the way a wood stocked rifle does, works from offhand and kneeling positions, and slides into an ordinary scabbard or case without a fight. Shooters who spend most of their time behind a pack or a tripod may prefer the thumbhole version instead.

Why 7mm Remington Magnum Still Makes Sense
It has been in production since 1962 and it is still one of the best balanced hunting cartridges available. It shoots flat enough for open country, hits hard enough for elk, and recoils noticeably less than a 300 magnum while doing it. Ammunition is on the shelf at almost every store that sells rifle cartridges, including in small towns near the places you hunt.
The newer 7mm PRC beats it on paper with modern chamber throats and heavier bullets, but the older round remains cheaper to feed and easier to find. For a hunting rifle that has to work anywhere, that counts for a lot.
Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Arms Summit TI 7mm Rem Mag
Very few rifles put a titanium action, a carbon wrapped barrel and a carbon stock together at this weight and still promise half MOA. Light rifles usually get there with a thin barrel that walks after two shots. This one does not, and the classic stock keeps the handling familiar for hunters who never got along with a thumbhole grip.
Who Should Buy It
The Christensen Arms Summit TI 7mm Rem Mag suits elk and mule deer hunters who cover country on foot, sheep and goat hunters counting ounces, and anyone who wants a magnum they will actually carry rather than leave in the truck. It is a hunting rifle first, so plan on short range sessions and a good recoil pad rather than a two hundred round afternoon.
