Description
The Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol in 12 gauge, part number J32CTC511, is the five round version of the chisel stock defensive A300. The barrel is 19.10 inches, the stock is a fixed chisel design with a separate polymer pistol grip, the forend carries M-LOK slots and the aluminium receiver has a Picatinny rail. A shorter magazine tube takes weight off the muzzle end. On a gun that is going to be swung round a doorway rather than carried across a field, that makes a real difference to how quickly it points.
Five plus one is the capacity most states with limits will allow, and it is what a lot of buyers want regardless rather than paying for tube length they will not load.

Chisel stock, pistol grip and M-LOK
A separate pistol grip puts the trigger hand where an AR shooter expects it, which is the whole argument for this configuration. The wrist angle and the reach to the trigger match what the hands already know.
The chisel stock is fixed. No hinge to loosen, no latch to fail, and no chance of finding it half deployed in the dark on a gun that sits loaded for months.
M-LOK slots take a light directly, which matters more on a defensive shotgun than any other accessory. A clamp on the magazine tube is always a compromise.
The gas action bleeds off part of the shot’s energy to work the bolt, and what it bleeds off does not reach your shoulder.

Shotshell dimensions and pressures are standardized by SAAMI, and the 3 inch chamber accepts both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Because the barrel is 19.10 inches and the stock is fixed, this is an ordinary shotgun under federal law and needs no special paperwork. For defensive use we stock nine pellet 00 buckshot, and 2 3/4 inch target loads are the inexpensive way to practise; reduced recoil and mini shells are a poor match for a gas gun.
