Browning BPT 12 GA 2.75 in 7.5 Target – Reliable 1-1/8 oz Heavy Target Load, 1200 fps, 25 Rounds

Description

The Browning BPT 12 GA 2.75 in 7.5 Target load is part of Browning’s BPT Performance Target line, built for shooters who spend a lot of time on the clays field. This Heavy version packs a full 1-1/8 oz of number 7.5 lead shot into a 2-3/4 inch 12 gauge hull and sends it out at a rated 1200 feet per second. That combination is a classic for breaking targets at trap and sporting clays distances, giving a dense, even pattern with a smooth, consistent recoil impulse that helps you stay on the gun for long rounds.

Why Shooters Choose This 12 Gauge Target Load

• 1-1/8 oz of #7.5 lead shot for dense, even patterns
• Rated 1200 fps for a smooth, manageable recoil impulse
• Well suited to trap, sporting clays and skeet
• Consistent components for shot-to-shot reliability
• Packed 25 rounds per box, Browning item B193621227

Browning BPT 12 GA 2.75 in 7.5 Target Features

• Heavy target payload for longer clay presentations
• Reliable function in pumps, semi-autos and over-unders
• Quality hulls that feed and extract cleanly
• Priced for regular practice and league shooting

Sporting clays shells need to handle a wide variety of presentations, from close rabbits to long crossers. A 1-1/8 oz load of 7.5 shot covers most of them well, and the moderate velocity keeps recoil comfortable over a 100-target round. Many shooters keep this load as their default and switch to lighter 8s only for the closest stations.

Clean your shotgun regularly when shooting high volumes of target loads, paying attention to the action and gas system on semi-autos. A clean gun cycles reliably, which keeps your rhythm intact during a round.

A 12 gauge target load that fits your gun and budget is the foundation of steady improvement. Pair it with a quality shell bag, good hearing protection and shooting glasses, and you have everything you need for a full day at the club.

Choosing Trap and Skeet Ammo

Good trap and skeet ammo is all about consistency. When every shell in the box delivers the same velocity and pattern, you can focus on your mount, lead and follow-through instead of wondering whether the load is to blame for a miss. A 1-1/8 oz payload of number 7.5 shot is the traditional choice for trap and a strong all-around pick for sporting clays, while number 8 or 9 is often preferred for close skeet stations.

Browning has deep roots in competitive shotgunning, and its target shells are built to match the demands of shooters who burn through flats of ammunition each season. Buying by the case keeps lot numbers consistent, which helps your patterns stay the same from week to week.

Trap, skeet and sporting clays shooters who run a 12 gauge will get the most from this load, from new shooters learning the game to league regulars. It also works well for dove and other small upland game where lead shot is legal. Always wear eye and ear protection on the range.

Store shells in a dry place in the original box so the lot number stays with them. Pattern your shotgun with the chokes you use most, since a load that patterns well through modified at trap may behave differently through skeet or improved cylinder chokes.
