Description
The Beretta 80X Cheetah 380 Threaded is a full-featured 380 ACP pistol that updates Beretta’s classic Cheetah with an optics-ready slide, a 4.4-inch threaded barrel and a 15+1 capacity. It keeps the soft-shooting blowback design and easy-racking slide that made the Cheetah popular, in a matte black finish.

Beretta 80X Cheetah 380 Threaded Overview
The original Cheetah series earned a following as a smooth, reliable 380 that was easy to shoot well. The 80X modernizes that recipe with a Vertec-style straight backstrap grip, an X-Treme S trigger, an ambidextrous safety-decocker, front and rear slide serrations and a two-slot accessory rail. This configuration adds a barrel threaded 1/2×28 and an optics-ready slide, so it can wear a compact red dot sight and a muzzle device or a suppressor rated for 380 ACP where legal. The alloy frame keeps weight to about 25 ounces, which is light for a pistol of this size.
Trigger and Safety
The 80X Cheetah is a double-action/single-action pistol. The first shot can be fired with a longer double-action pull from the decocked position, and follow-up shots break with a short single-action pull. Beretta’s X-Treme S trigger gives a lighter and crisper single-action break than earlier Cheetah models. The frame-mounted ambidextrous safety doubles as a decocker and can also be used as a manual safety in single-action mode, which some shooters prefer for carry. Practice the transition from the long first pull to the lighter follow-up shots so your groups stay tight.

Optics and Sights
The slide is cut for an optic using Beretta plate kits, and it ships with white three-dot sights for use without a red dot. If you mount a dot, check whether the factory iron sights are tall enough to co-witness; some shooters add taller suppressor-height sights for that reason. The two-slot Picatinny rail accepts compact weapon lights, which is useful if the pistol will serve as a home defense gun.
Threaded Barrel
The 4.4-inch barrel is threaded 1/2×28, a common pattern for 380 and 9mm muzzle devices. A thread protector keeps the threads clean when nothing is mounted. Suppressors are NFA items that require an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal in your state. Because the 80X is a blowback design, a suppressor will push more gas back toward the shooter than on a locked-breech pistol, so expect some extra residue on the slide and your hands.

Capacity and Handling
The double-stack magazine holds 15 rounds, and the pistol ships with two magazines. That is excellent capacity for a 380, and the full-size grip gives plenty of purchase for larger hands. The slide is easy to rack, which is a real advantage for shooters with limited hand strength. The tradeoff is size: at 6.8 inches long, this is not a pocket pistol, and holster choices for the threaded and optics-equipped version are narrower than for the standard Cheetah.
Ammunition and Use
The 380 ACP is softer shooting and cheaper to practice with than 9mm, but it delivers less energy, so choose quality hollow points that penetrate well for defense. The 80X Cheetah makes a comfortable range and training gun, a good choice for new shooters and recoil-sensitive owners, and a fun suppressor host. Use standard-pressure factory ammunition and keep the blowback action clean and lightly lubricated.
State Laws and Ownership
Pennsylvania buyers can complete the transfer at our shop, and customers in other states can have the pistol shipped to a licensed dealer near them. Some states restrict threaded barrels, magazine capacity or handgun models, so confirm your local rules before ordering.
