Description
The Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout is a 10 inch AR pistol built around the cartridge that short barrels were made for. Black nitride threaded barrel, M-LOK handguard, SBA3 brace and a 30 round magazine, assembled as a complete pistol rather than sold as a kit you finish yourself.
Why the Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout Works
The Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout exists to solve the short barrel problem. A 5.56 round out of a ten inch barrel loses a great deal of its velocity and a great deal of its terminal performance, while 300 Blackout was designed from the start to burn its powder in that length. Out of this barrel you are getting close to everything the cartridge has to offer, which is not something a short 5.56 can claim.
The Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout barrel is black nitride treated and threaded at the muzzle, which gives you a hard, corrosion resistant surface and the option of a muzzle device. Nitride is the sensible finish on a short barrel because the gas port area runs hot and a treated bore holds up better than bare steel.
The Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout handguard is M-LOK, which is the standard worth having. Lights, hand stops and sling mounts all bolt directly to the rail slots without an adapter, and M-LOK accessories are the widest selection available at the lowest prices.
Configuration and the Legal Picture
This is a pistol, and that matters. It ships with an SBA3 brace rather than a stock, and an Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout with a brace is legally a pistol. Fitting an actual shoulder stock to a barrel this short creates a short barreled rifle, which is an NFA item requiring ATF approval and a tax stamp. MAG5 Firearms does not handle NFA transfers, so plan that through a dealer who does.
Capacity on the Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout is 30+1 with the magazine supplied, and the gun uses standard AR-15 magazines, which is one of the quiet advantages of 300 Blackout. Same magazines, same bolt carrier group pattern, same manual of arms. Only the barrel and the ammunition change.
A word on ammunition. Supersonic 300 Blackout behaves like a short range hunting round and is what most people shoot. Subsonic 300 Blackout is heavy, slow and very quiet, but it generally needs a suppressor to be worth the trouble and will not always cycle an unsuppressed gun reliably. Buy supersonic unless you have a specific plan.

Who Should Buy One
Anyone who wants a compact, handy AR that actually performs at ten inches is the audience. An Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout is far more useful at this length than a short 5.56, and it is short enough to matter in a truck, a pack or a closet.
Hog and deer hunters in thick country get real value from it. Supersonic 300 Blackout inside a hundred yards is a capable hunting round, and a ten inch pistol moves through brush and out of a blind window in a way that a twenty inch rifle does not.
It also makes sense as a future suppressor host, with the caveat above about NFA paperwork. The barrel is already threaded, and 300 Blackout with a can is the combination that made the cartridge popular in the first place.
A few practical notes before you order an Andro Corp ACI-15 Halo 300 Blackout. Understand the pistol and short barreled rifle distinction before you change anything about the configuration, because fitting a stock to a ten inch barrel is a federal matter rather than a preference. Buy supersonic ammunition unless you are building specifically around a suppressor. Keep 300 Blackout and 5.56 magazines clearly marked and stored separately, since a 300 Blackout round will chamber in a 5.56 rifle and destroy it. And budget for a light, because a short defensive gun without one is only half set up.
