Description
The Aim Sports Classic II Reflex Sight is an affordable open reflex sight with a wide 33mm window, a choice of red or green illumination and four reticle patterns. It is a popular first optic for an AR-15, a shotgun, a pistol caliber carbine or a rimfire plinker.

Aim Sports Classic II Reflex Sight Overview
Aim Sports catalogs this sight as RT406C, the Classic II Edition. The body is aircraft grade aluminum with a matte black finish, and the housing is fog proof and shock resistant. It is about 3.25 in long and weighs about 5.5 oz. Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks at 100 yards, and eye relief is unlimited, so you can mount it anywhere on the rail.
Four Reticles, Two Colors
You can switch among four reticle patterns, including a 3 MOA dot, and choose red or green illumination. The dot is best for precise shots, while the larger patterns help your eye find the aiming point fast at close range. A rheostat dial lets you set the brightness for the light you are in.

Integrated Mount
The mount is built into the base and fits both Picatinny and Weaver rails, so there is nothing extra to buy. Tighten the cross bolt with the sight pushed forward in the slot, then confirm zero after the first few range trips.
Open Reflex Design
An open reflex sight gives you a big, unobstructed view through the window, which helps you keep track of the target and what is around it. Keep both eyes open, put the reticle on the target and press. It is a fast, simple way to aim.

Why a Reflex Sight
A reflex sight lets you keep both eyes open and focus on the target instead of lining up two iron sights. On a carbine or shotgun that means faster shots at close range and an easier time tracking a moving target. Because it does not need perfect eye alignment the way a scope does, it works from awkward positions and while moving.
Spec Note
Aim Sports and its retailers do not list battery type or battery life for the Classic II that we could find, so we have left those out of the specs below.
Zeroing Tips
Most rifle and shotgun shooters zero a red dot at 50 or 100 yards, depending on the gun and how it will be used. Start at about 25 yards to get on paper, then move back and fine tune. Fire small groups before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to use.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
