Description
The AimShot HG Elite Green Circle Dot is an open reflex sight with a 2 MOA green dot inside a 65 MOA circle. It gives you a wide 34mm window, a crisp aiming point and a quick release Picatinny mount, so it can move from an AR-15 to a shotgun or another rifle in seconds.

AimShot HG Elite Green Circle Dot Overview
AimShot catalogs this sight as HGELITECGREE. The body is machined in one piece from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black hardcoat anodized finish. The 34mm lens is about 3mm thick and parallax free. The sight is nitrogen filled and sealed, and AimShot rates it shockproof and submersible to about 10 feet. It weighs about 8 oz.
The Reticle
This model uses a 2 MOA green dot inside a 65 MOA circle. The big circle draws your eye fast at close range, and the small center dot gives you a precise aiming point for longer shots. It is a popular choice on shotguns and home defense carbines where speed matters most.

Brightness and Battery
The HG Elite has 9 brightness settings for normal daylight use plus 9 settings in the night vision (infrared) range, along with an automatic brightness option. One CR2 battery powers it, and AimShot rates run time at up to 40,000 hours when the built-in inertia switch is used. That switch turns the sight off after about five minutes without movement and back on as soon as the gun moves.
Mounting and Adjustments
The integrated quick release mount clamps to a Picatinny rail without tools and returns close to zero when you put it back on. Windage and elevation adjust with quick-turn screws. Unlimited eye relief lets you place the sight wherever it fits your rifle and stance.
Where It Fits
A reflex sight like the HG Elite is at home on a home defense shotgun, a ranch rifle, a pistol caliber carbine or an AR-15 used for training and competition. The open design gives a wide field of view, and the large window makes it easy to pick up the dot when you bring the gun up quickly.
Photo Note
The distributor photos show the HG Elite body. Reticle options in this line share the same housing, and the reticle on this model is 2 MOA green dot inside a 65 MOA circle. AimShot backs the HG Elite with a 5-year limited warranty.
Why a Green Dot
The human eye is most sensitive to green light, so a green dot often looks brighter and sharper than a red one at the same setting, especially in daylight. Many shooters with some red color weakness also find green easier to see. In very dark settings a dim red dot can be a little easier on night vision, so think about where you shoot most.
Zeroing Tips
Most rifle and shotgun shooters zero a red dot at 50 or 100 yards, depending on the gun and how it will be used. Start at about 25 yards to get on paper, then move back and fine tune. Fire small groups before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to use.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
