Browning Citori CXT White 32 Inch Overview
CXT stands for Crossover Target. The CXT is set up primarily for trap, with a 70/30 point of impact, but it is still comfortable on a sporting clays or skeet field. White refers to the silver nitride receiver, and the adjustable comb lets you dial in the fit. This version was a Browning SHOT Show special for 2026.
70/30 Point of Impact
A 70/30 point of impact means the gun throws about 70 percent of the pattern above the point of aim. On rising trap targets that lets you keep the bird visible above the barrel while you shoot. On sporting clays, especially dropping or incoming targets, many shooters learn to hold a little under, so try the gun at the patterning board.
Floating Rib and Mid-Bead
The floating rib tapers from 3/8 to 1/4 inch and is mounted so it can expand with heat without shifting point of impact. An ivory front bead and a mid-bead help you check head position on the stock before calling for the bird.
Adjustable Comb and American Walnut
The gloss finished walnut stock has an adjustable comb and 18 lines per inch cut checkering. Browning lists a 14 3/8 inch length of pull and a polymer recoil pad. The weight of this gun, about 8 3/4 pounds, also helps soak up recoil over a long round.
32 Inch Barrels and Midas Chokes
The 32 inch polished blued barrels have chrome plated chambers and take Invector-Plus Midas choke tubes. Browning includes Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder, and long barrels give a smooth, steady swing on going away targets.
Trap vs Sporting Use
If you shoot mostly trap, this gun is a strong choice without the cost of a dedicated high rib trap gun. If you shoot mostly sporting clays, a flatter shooting gun like the Citori 825 Sporting may suit you better.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the bores and chokes after each outing and keep the choke threads lightly greased. Wipe the walnut and receiver with a lightly oiled cloth and store the gun broken down in its case.
State Laws
Shotguns are legal to buy in most places. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
