Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated Green FDE Overview
Trijicon part RM05-C-700210 is the dual-illuminated RMR in FDE Cerakote. The forged aluminum housing uses Trijicon’s impact-diverting shape, and windage and elevation adjust 1 MOA per click without tools. The large 9 MOA green dot is easy to pick up quickly, which makes this a favorite for shotguns, offset backup sights and FDE defensive guns. No mount is included.
Always On, No Battery
The fiber optic strip on top of the sight gathers daylight and channels it to the reticle, automatically brightening the dot in bright conditions. At night a tritium lamp keeps the dot visible. There are no buttons, no auto-off timers and no battery to die, which is the main reason dual-illuminated RMRs are still chosen for duty and defensive backup roles.
Living With Fiber Optics
Brightness follows the light reaching the sight, not the target. If you stand in shade and aim at a sunlit target, the dot can look dim; if you stand in bright light aiming into darkness, it can bloom. Many owners partially cover the fiber with tape to tame bloom. If that behavior bothers you, the adjustable LED RMR is the better fit.
Big Green Dot
At 9 MOA the dot covers roughly 2.25 inches at 25 yards, ideal for fast close-range shooting and shotgun use but too large for fine precision at distance. Green contrasts well against most backgrounds and is easy for most eyes to see.
Tritium Over Time
Tritium decays with a half-life of about 12.3 years, so the night glow gradually dims over a decade or more. Daytime fiber optic performance does not depend on the tritium. Trijicon backs the optic with a limited lifetime warranty with separate tritium terms.
FDE Finish and Mounting
The Cerakote finish matches FDE rifles, shotguns and pistols, though it will show edge wear with years of holster use. The RMR footprint is supported by plates and mounts for nearly every platform. Buy the appropriate mount separately and use thread locker on the screws.

Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
