Description
The Bergara B-14 Hunter 7mm PRC brings Bergara barrel accuracy to an affordable big-game rifle chambered in one of today’s most efficient long-range hunting cartridges. This configuration (Bergara model B14LM1013C, UPC 043125017232) pairs a 22-inch Graphite Black Cerakote barrel with an American-style synthetic stock and a hinged floorplate magazine, and it weighs about 7.2 pounds.
Bergara B-14 Hunter 7mm PRC Overview
Bergara builds its barrels in Spain at a highly automated barrel factory, and the Hunter line puts that quality in reach of everyday hunters. The Bergara B-14 Hunter 7mm PRC comes with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee when used with quality factory ammunition, which is rare at this price. It is a no-frills, dependable rifle you can carry into a deer stand on opening morning or pack across a ridge for elk.
Smooth B-14 Action
The B-14 action uses a two-lug bolt with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech for smooth feeding and extraction. The bolt runs slick out of the box and gets even smoother with use. The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard Remington 700 long-action scope bases, so you have endless mounting options.
Synthetic Stock Built for Bad Weather
The American-style synthetic stock is molded from glass-fiber reinforced polymer, so it shrugs off rain, snow and temperature swings that can move a wood stock. A classic sporter shape and a slim grip make the rifle point naturally from field positions, and sling studs are installed. The green speckled finish hides scuffs and gives a secure hold with gloves.
7mm PRC Performance in a Light Package
The 7mm PRC pushes long, high-BC 7mm bullets fast, delivering a flat trajectory and plenty of retained energy for elk, moose and mule deer. The 1:8 twist stabilizes heavy modern bullets, and the 22-inch barrel keeps the rifle handy in timber and blinds. The hinged floorplate magazine holds three magnum rounds and makes unloading quick and safe at the end of the day.
Setup Tips
Mount a quality 3-9x, 3-15x or 4-16x scope with solid rings, then zero at 100 yards. Record drops at 200, 300 and 400 yards with the exact load you plan to hunt with, and practice from sitting, kneeling and off shooting sticks. A good sling and a set of bipod legs make long field shots far more repeatable.
Care and Maintenance
Cerakote and a polymer stock make this rifle easy to live with. After a wet hunt, wipe it down, run a dry patch through the bore and let it air out of the case overnight. Every few hundred rounds, clean the barrel with a quality copper solvent and check that the action screws are still at the proper torque. A light coat of oil on the bolt lugs keeps the action running smoothly for years, and a quick look at your scope mounts before each season heads off problems before they cost you an animal.

Before You Buy
Some listings show a 24-inch barrel for this rifle, but Bergara’s factory chart lists the B14LM1013C with a 22-inch barrel, so confirm the length on the box if it matters to you. The 7mm PRC recoils more than a .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor in a rifle this light, and no muzzle brake, scope or base is included.
