Field Notes
Timing and carry-up are worth checking with dummies. Cycling a loaded cylinder slowly by hand shows whether each chamber is locking up in line with the barrel, and doing it with inert rounds rather than empty chambers loads the cylinder the way it will be loaded in use.
Transfer bar and hammer block revolvers can be dry fired safely, but plenty of older 32 caliber guns cannot. If yours is a pre-transfer-bar design, snap caps are not optional.
