Description
The GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm is a sub-compact nine that arrives with the things most makers charge extra for. Fiber optic sights front and rear, a slide cut for two different optic footprints, a flat faced trigger and two backstraps in the box.
The GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm is a purple Cerakote polymer frame under a black steel slide, twelve rounds plus one, and a 3.25 inch barrel. GForce build it in the United States.

Why the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm feature list matters more than usual
- Fiber optic sights front and rear, where most guns at this price fit painted plastic

One slide, two optic footprints on the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm
Most optics ready pistols are cut for one pattern and leave you buying a plate or the wrong dot. GForce states that the GF9 Rapture slide takes both the RMR and the RMSc (Shield) footprints, which covers most of what is actually on the shelf. A full size Holosun HS510C or a 507C X3 works on the RMR pattern, and a smaller 507K X2 works on the RMSc pattern. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before you order.
Fiber optic sights fitted as standard
The GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm ships with a red fiber optic front sight and a green fiber optic rear. Fiber optics gather ambient light and glow, and having different colors front and rear makes the front one jump out of the picture. On a pistol at this price most makers fit plain black or painted plastic and expect you to upgrade. Getting fiber optics in the box is the kind of thing that does not show up in a spec comparison but changes how the gun shoots on a dull day.
GForce says the Glock 26 aftermarket fits, except the magazines
This is the claim worth understanding before you buy. GForce states that the GF9 is compatible with Glock 26 parts, with the explicit exception of magazines. If that holds for the part you want, it means triggers, sights, barrels and slide components from the largest aftermarket in handguns are options rather than a wish. We are repeating GForce here rather than vouching for any specific part: check fit for the exact component before you buy it, and do not assume a Glock 26 magazine will work, because GForce says outright that it will not.
The GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm asks for a break-in period. We are telling you now, not later.
GForce recommends a break-in period of 200 heavy load rounds. Most manufacturers bury that in the manual. A new pistol that is stiff or occasionally short-strokes in its first couple of boxes is doing what the maker expects, and a customer who does not know that thinks the gun is faulty. Budget a few boxes of full power ammunition for it: CCI Blazer Brass 115 grain is the cheapest way to put the rounds through, and once it is run in, Federal 147 grain HST is the carry load to settle on.
Other GForce pistols we stock
The same Rapture comes in all black if the purple frame is not for you. GForce also build the RPX line: the RPX9 EXO with a tungsten slide and the RPX3C9 TAC are both 15 round guns with four inch barrels.
Worth knowing before you buy
- One magazine is supplied with the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm. GForce lists the Rapture as shipping with a single 10 or 12 round magazine; Sports South records this part number as 12+1.
- Two grip backstraps are included, so the grip angle can be changed.
- Aggressive stippling and a heavy thumb rest on the frame, flat faced trigger, serrations front and rear.
- 1.4 pounds empty, 6.6 inches long, 5.1 inches tall, 1.1 inches wide.
- Made in the United States. The 9mm Luger cartridge is standardized by SAAMI, and GForce publishes the specification at gforcearms.com.
Why the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm earns its place
- Fiber optic sights and an optic cut on the same gun, at this price
- Two optic patterns rather than one, which is unusual at any price
- Two backstraps in the box, so the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm fits more hands
- A flat faced trigger, which most budget guns do not fit
- Built in the United States with a parts network behind it
This suits the buyer who wants a sub-compact carry nine without paying for a name, and who would rather have fiber optics and an optic cut in the box than fit them later. It suits anyone who already owns a red dot and is tired of finding out their slide takes the other pattern. It is not a competition gun and it is not a duty gun, and the GForce GF9 Rapture 9mm asks for a couple of hundred rounds of running in before it is at its best, which is worth knowing up front rather than discovering it in the first box.
