Description

The Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite MSR FDE is the flat dark earth version of Tippmann’s .22 LR AR-15. The aluminum receiver set is finished in FDE and paired with a black parkerized 16 inch threaded barrel, an M-LOK handguard and black furniture.
An AR-15 That Shoots Rimfire
The upper and lower are aluminum and mil-spec compatible, so AR-15 stocks, grips, optics and sights fit directly and the manual of arms matches a centrefire carbine exactly. This is a trainer that behaves like the rifle it imitates rather than a lookalike.
The payoff is round count. Rimfire ammunition costs a fraction of centrefire, so drills you would ration on an AR-15 become something you can run for an afternoon without thinking about it.
Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite MSR FDE Barrel and Handguard
The barrel is 16 inches with a black parkerized finish and a threaded muzzle, ready for a rimfire suppressor or a muzzle device. Suppressed .22 out of a 16 inch barrel is about as quiet as shooting gets and is the most common reason buyers seek out a threaded rimfire.
The free float M-LOK handguard takes bipods, lights and hand stops directly, with no bolt-on rail sections adding bulk. A full length Picatinny rail runs across the flat top receiver for optics.
Furniture and Capacity
The adjustable CAR15 polymer stock sits on a standard buffer tube, so length of pull can be set for different shooters or for shooting in heavy clothing. The Tippmann Gen2 grip uses the standard AR-15 interface and swaps out for anything you prefer.
Capacity is 25+1 from Tippmann’s own steel lipped magazine. Spares are inexpensive, which is the practical difference between a rimfire trainer that gets used and one that sits in the safe.

Ammunition and Accuracy
Blowback rimfire actions want copper plated high velocity ammunition rather than the cheapest bulk lead round nose. CCI Mini-Mag, Federal Automatch and similar loads cycle consistently and group noticeably tighter, and the difference is obvious by 50 yards. With decent ammunition and a red dot most shooters stay on a soda can well beyond that.
Sights and Optics
The full length Picatinny rail takes any AR pattern mount, so a red dot, a low power variable or a rimfire scope all bolt on without an adapter. Flip-up back-up irons fit as well if you want a co-witnessed setup.
Why Buyers Choose the Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite MSR FDE
The Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite MSR FDE gives you aluminum receivers, mil-spec compatibility and a threaded barrel in a finish that matches an FDE centrefire rifle, so a training gun and a duty gun can look like a matched pair.
Who Should Buy It
AR owners who want a cheap trainer that matches their main rifle, new shooters learning the platform, and suppressor owners looking for a quiet host. It doubles as a small game and pest rifle around a property.
Be clear about the limits. Rimfire ammunition is more sensitive to quality than centrefire, so bulk bargain .22 causes malfunctions that better ammunition does not. No sights or optic are included, and .22 LR is a small game cartridge rather than a defensive one.
Spare magazines and a Tippmann speed loader are listed alongside the rest of our firearms selection. Manufacturer documentation is available from Tippmann Arms.
Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred there after a background check.
