Weatherby 307 Adventure SD 7mm PRC Barrel and Muzzle
The barrel is 24 inches in Weatherby Mag Sporter contour, fluted to shed weight and add cooling surface. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 with an Accubrake fitted, which brings barrel and brake to 26 inches together and takes a meaningful bite out of a magnum recoil impulse. Remove the brake and a suppressor threads directly on.
Rifling is a 1:8 twist, exactly what 7mm PRC was designed around. The cartridge exists to run long, heavy, high ballistic coefficient bullets in the 175 to 195 grain range, and a slower twist would waste the whole point of it.
Action, Stock and Trigger
The Model 307 action is a two lug, fully cylindrical design on the Remington 700 footprint, so bases, bottom metal, triggers and aftermarket stocks fit without adapters. Receiver, bolt, bolt knob and barrel are finished in Graphite Black Cerakote, which handles rain, snow and solvent far better than bluing.
The SD stock is fancy grade walnut with a rosewood forend tip and grip cap, a maple diamond inlay with spacers, and a Monte Carlo comb that lifts the eye to scope height. Length of pull is 13.75 in., drop at comb is 0.75 in. and drop at heel is 1.25 in.
A TriggerTech Field trigger with a zero creep break adjusts externally down to 2.5 lbs., and a two position safety sits at the rear of the action.
