Weatherby 307 Adventure SD 270 Winchester Barrel and Muzzle
The barrel is 24 inches in Weatherby Mag Sporter contour, fluted to trim weight and add cooling surface without going pencil thin. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 and carries an Accubrake, bringing barrel and brake together to 26 inches. Take the brake off and a suppressor threads on in its place.
Rifling is a 1:10 twist, the long standing standard for 270 Winchester and the right pitch for everything from 130 grain hunting bullets to the 150 grain loads that suit elk. A 24 inch barrel gives this cartridge close to everything it has, since 270 Win was designed around a long barrel from the start.
Action, Stock and Trigger
The Model 307 action is a two lug, fully cylindrical design built on the Remington 700 footprint. Scope bases, bottom metal, triggers and aftermarket stocks all fit without adapters, which is a meaningful advantage over proprietary actions. Receiver, bolt, bolt knob and barrel wear Graphite Black Cerakote for weather resistance that bluing cannot match.

A TriggerTech Field trigger with a zero creep break adjusts externally down to 2.5 lbs., and a two position safety sits at the rear of the action.
