Description
The Walther PDP Pro E Compact 10 Round is a pistol chambered in 9mm with a 4-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. The Pro E adds competition-inspired upgrades like a flared magwell and a flat-faced trigger to the compact PDP.
Walther PDP Pro E Compact 10 Round Overview
The Walther PDP (Performance Duty Pistol) is built around Walther’s Performance Duty trigger, an optic-ready slide, and an ergonomic grip that fits a wide range of hands. The Pro E version adds a flat-faced trigger shoe, a flared magwell for smoother reloads, and other upgrades aimed at shooters who train hard or compete.
Design and Features
The slide has deep SuperTerrain serrations front and rear, and the polymer frame has an accessory rail for a weapon light. The optic-ready cut accepts a wide range of red dots with the right plate. This version ships with 10-round magazines, which makes it a good choice for buyers in capacity-restricted states.
Handling and Carry
The compact frame shortens the grip for easier concealment while keeping enough room for a full firing grip for most hands. The grip texture locks the pistol in place without being harsh against skin, and the ergonomics are among the best of any striker-fired pistol.
Trigger and Controls
The Performance Duty trigger has a short take-up, a crisp break, and a very short reset, one of the best factory striker triggers available. The slide stop is ambidextrous on most models and the magazine release is reversible.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 9mm Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
