Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black Reliable 3 Dot Set

Description

This is the blacked out version. The Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black set is Trijicon GL201-C-600661, the suppressor and optic height configuration with black outlines around the lamps rather than white ones. Same height, same fitment and the same green tritium as the white outline set, but it presents a much quieter sight picture in daylight.

Black Outline Versus White on the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black Set

A white ring around a tritium lamp exists to give your eye something to catch in daylight. That is useful on a plain carry pistol and less useful once there is a red dot on the slide, because the thing your eye should be finding is the dot, not the iron sights underneath it. Black outline night sights sit quietly in the bottom of the optic window instead of competing with the dot for attention. Shooters running a red dot as their primary sight generally prefer exactly this.

The trade is real and you should know it. Without the white rings, these sights are harder to pick up quickly in daylight if the optic fails and you have to fall back to irons cold. In bright sun a black front post against a dark target is slow. If the dot is your primary and the irons are genuinely a backup, the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black set is the right call. If you expect to shoot irons regularly, the white outline version is the better buy.

After dark none of that matters. The lamps are identical, so both versions give you the same three green dots in low light. Trijicon builds them the same way too, with a sapphire jewel cap over each lamp to spread the glow, an aluminium cylinder around the glass and a silicone cushion underneath to take the slide shock instead of passing it into the tritium.

Honest Notes on the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black Set

These are tall sights, and tall sights on a slide with nothing mounted on it are a downgrade. You get a higher sight picture, a taller front post blocking more of the target and no benefit whatsoever. Buy the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black set because there is a red dot or a suppressor on the gun, not because taller looks more serious.

Holsters are the practical catch. Tall sights ride higher in a kydex sight channel and can drag on the way in or out. Optic ready holsters usually have the room. Older leather and cheaper kydex often do not, which matters most if you carry appendix and want a reholster you do not have to think about. Check the fit before you commit to carrying this setup.

Tritium decays at roughly half brightness every twelve years, which is why the warranty is twelve years rather than lifetime, and it applies to every tritium sight on the market. Fitting is a press job: the Glock rear dovetail is tight and the taller front post gives you more leverage to bend something if you attack it with a punch. A gunsmith will do the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Glock Black set in minutes, and it is worth confirming zero afterwards because sight height changes point of impact at distance.
