Description
The Trijicon RMR Type 2 1 MOA with RM33 pairs Trijicon’s finest-dot adjustable LED RMR with the RM33 Picatinny rail mount. It is set up for precision: a 1 MOA red dot that subtends just an inch at 100 yards, ready to bolt onto a rail-equipped rifle, shotgun or PCC.
Trijicon RMR Type 2 1 MOA with RM33 Overview
Trijicon part RM09-C-700746 is the Type 2 RMR with adjustable LED illumination and a matte black anodized finish. Type 2 sights added stronger electronics and battery contacts compared with the first generation. Eight manual brightness settings plus an automatic mode let you tune the small dot for bright daylight or night vision. The included RM33 mount makes this a complete rail-ready package.
Choosing the 1.0 MOA Dot
A 1 MOA dot is the smallest LED dot Trijicon offers in the RMR. It covers about a quarter inch at 25 yards and one inch at 100 yards, which makes it a favorite for offset backup sights on precision rifles and for shooters who want the finest possible aiming point on a pistol. The trade-off is speed: a tiny dot is slower to find during a fast draw, especially for shooters new to optics.
Controls and Battery
Push buttons on both sides of the housing adjust brightness through 8 settings, including 2 night vision compatible levels and a super-bright setting, toggle between manual and automatic brightness, and power the sight down for storage. Trijicon rates battery life at over 4 years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8. A lockout feature prevents accidental changes, and the sight remembers your last setting.
Mounting Options
This package includes Trijicon’s RM33 Picatinny rail mount, a low mount that puts the RMR close to the rail. It suits shotguns, rimfires and use as a low reflex sight on carbines, and it lets you run the RMR on a rail-equipped gun right out of the box.
Built for Abuse
The RMR is famous for durability. Its forged aluminum body uses a patented housing shape that steers impact energy away from the lens, and the sight is waterproof to 66 feet. Windage and elevation adjust 1 MOA per click with no special tools needed. This model wears Trijicon’s standard matte black anodized finish, which matches most pistol slides and rifle receivers and shows wear less than colored coatings.
Honest Considerations
A 1 MOA dot can be harder to see in very bright conditions than larger dots, so most owners run higher brightness settings outdoors. The battery sits under the sight, so a change means removing the optic from the mount and confirming zero. The RMR window is smaller than newer large-window red dots.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
