Description
The Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated with RM33 combines Trijicon’s battery-free 9 MOA green dot RMR with the low RM33 Picatinny rail mount. It is a ready-to-install, always-on reflex sight for shotguns, carbines and rail-equipped guns.
Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated with RM33 Overview
Trijicon part RM05G-33 pairs the RM05G sight, a matte black forged aluminum RMR, with the RM33 low Picatinny mount. Fiber optics light the dot in daylight and a tritium lamp takes over in darkness, so there is no battery and no power switch. Adjustments are 1 MOA per click with no special tools required.
Ready to Mount
Because the RM33 mount is included, you can clamp this RMR onto any Picatinny rail right away. The low height places the dot close to the bore, which suits shotgun ribs and receivers and rimfire rails. For an AR-15 primary sight most shooters prefer a taller mount, but for a shotgun or offset use this low setup is ideal.
Always Ready
With no battery, there is nothing to forget to turn on and nothing to die in storage. A fiber optic gatherer on top feeds daylight to the reticle, automatically scaling brightness to conditions, and tritium keeps the green dot glowing at night. That reliability is why dual-illuminated RMRs remain popular on defensive shotguns.
Fiber Behavior
Dot brightness depends on light at the sight, not the target. Shooting from shade into bright light can make the dot dim, and the reverse can make it bloom. Many owners mask part of the fiber with tape to fine-tune it. If you want push-button control, consider an adjustable LED RMR.
Green 9 MOA Dot
The large green dot is fast to find and easy to see, roughly 2.25 inches at 25 yards. It is meant for quick hits at practical shotgun and carbine distances rather than fine precision at long range.
Tritium Aging
Tritium’s half-life is about 12.3 years, so night brightness slowly fades over a decade or more; daytime fiber illumination is unaffected. Trijicon provides a limited lifetime warranty on the optic with separate tritium coverage terms.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
