Description
If you want the classic 4×32 ACOG body but your rifle is chambered in 300 Blackout, this is the part number. The Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green is Trijicon TA31-C-100413: the same forged prism everyone knows, with a green crosshair bullet drop reticle cut for 300 BLK rather than 5.56, and no batteries anywhere on it.
Why the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green Reticle Is Cartridge Specific
300 Blackout is effectively two cartridges sharing a case. A 110 or 125 grain supersonic load leaves the muzzle around 2,200 feet per second and shoots flat enough to behave like a heavy .223 out to three hundred yards. A 220 grain subsonic load leaves at about 1,000 feet per second and falls off a cliff past a hundred. A reticle drawn for 5.56 is wrong for both of them, which is why Trijicon draws a separate 300 Blackout BDC reticle rather than telling you to work out the difference yourself.
The Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green uses a crosshair pattern rather than a horseshoe or a chevron. On a cartridge with this much drop that is the sensible choice: the finer intersection lets you use the lower holdover marks precisely, which is where the reticle earns its money. A big glowing ring would be quicker up close but much harder to hold accurately on a two hundred yard target when the bullet is dropping fast.
Illumination is the standard Trijicon dual illuminated reticle system. A fibre optic ribbon along the top of the housing gathers ambient light and drives the reticle, getting brighter as conditions get brighter, and a sealed tritium lamp takes over once there is no ambient light to collect. Nothing to switch, nothing to charge, nothing to check before you leave the house.
Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green Specifications
This is the compact 4×32 body rather than the longer 3.5×35. Eye relief is 1.5 inches, exit pupil 0.32 inches, field of view 36.8 feet at 100 yards across seven degrees. If you have handled the 3.5×35 version of the 300 Blackout ACOG, the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green will feel noticeably less forgiving behind the eyepiece, because that model runs 2.39 inches of eye relief. In exchange this one is shorter and lighter on the rail.
The housing is forged aluminium in matte black, rated to 66 feet of submersion and nitrogen filled. The Bindon Aiming Concept applies here as it does across the line: shoot with both eyes open and your brain blends the magnified image with the unmagnified field from the other eye, which makes a fixed 4x far more usable up close than the number suggests. The TA51 flat top thumbscrew mount is included in the box.

Honest Notes on the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green
Be honest with yourself about how the rifle gets used. A lot of 300 Blackout guns are short barrelled suppressor hosts shot almost entirely inside a hundred yards, and at that distance a red dot at a fifth of the price does everything you need and does it faster. The Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green makes sense on a supersonic 300 Blackout rifle used at two and three hundred yards, or on a gun you want to be able to run in any light without ever thinking about a battery.
Confirm the holdovers rather than trusting them. The reticle is drawn for a specific bullet weight and velocity, and 300 Blackout is a cartridge where handloads, different barrel lengths and subsonic versus supersonic swing the trajectory enormously. Shoot the lower stadia on paper at a hundred, two hundred and three hundred with the ammunition you actually use, and write the results down. This is true of every BDC reticle and doubly true of this one.
Eye relief of 1.5 inches is the compromise you accept with the Trijicon ACOG 4×32 300 Blackout Green. The eye box is tight and it takes a session to get comfortable, particularly if you are used to a low power variable. Mount position on the rail matters more here than on almost any other optic, so expect to move it once or twice before it feels right.
One more practical point about suppressed shooting. A can on the muzzle throws gas and carbon back over the top of the handguard, and anything on top of the rifle collects it. The fibre optic strip on the top of an ACOG is exposed by design, so wipe it clean occasionally. A grimy fibre feeds a dimmer reticle, and people blame the scope when the answer is a cloth.
