Description
The Trailblazer LifeCard 22 LR Concrete is a folding single shot pistol chambered in 22 LR with a concrete gray finish. Closed, it measures just 3.375 by 2.125 by 0.5 inches and weighs about 7 ounces, so it slips into a pocket, wallet slot or jersey and goes everywhere you do.
Trailblazer LifeCard 22 LR Concrete Overview
Trailblazer Firearms builds the LifeCard in Fletcher, North Carolina, around one simple idea: the most useful gun is the one you actually have with you. When folded, the LifeCard is about the size of a stack of credit cards. Swing the grip down and it locks into a compact single action pistol. The frame is aluminum with steel and polymer components, the action is single action, and the pistol will not fire while it is closed. The grip holds three extra rounds of 22 LR, so you carry four rounds total with no extra pouch.
The controls are ambidextrous, and the LifeCard is backed by a lifetime warranty from Trailblazer.
Why a Folding Pistol
A conventional pistol often gets left at home when you are running, cycling, hiking or dressed light. The LifeCard removes that excuse. Its flat profile disappears in a front pocket and does not print like a typical pocket pistol, which makes it a handy backup gun, trail gun or tackle box companion.
The 22 LR Cartridge
22 LR is affordable, quiet and easy to shoot, and it is available almost everywhere. It is a great round for practice, plinking and small pests, and its light recoil makes a tiny pistol like the LifeCard comfortable to shoot. Use quality high-velocity ammunition for the most consistent ignition.
Loading and Safe Handling
To load, open the LifeCard, tip the barrel to expose the chamber and insert a single round, then close and lock the barrel. Cock the hammer only when you are ready to fire. Always fold the pistol closed and keep it in a pocket holster or sleeve when carrying, and practice the open, load and fire sequence at the range until it becomes second nature.
Practice and Training
Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.
Choosing Ammunition
Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.
Safe Storage
Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.
Recommended Accessories
A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
