Description
The Tisas 1911 Carry DS 9mm Optics Ready is a double-stack 1911 with a 4.25-inch bull barrel, black QPQ finish and a slide cut for micro red dots. It holds 17+1 rounds of 9mm Luger, nearly double a single-stack 1911.

Tisas 1911 Carry DS 9mm Optics Ready Overview
Tisas factory model 12500020 uses a full-length steel frame with a flared magwell, a 4.25-inch bull barrel, a titanium firing pin, skeletonized trigger and ambidextrous thumb safety. The slide is cut for RMSc-pattern optics (including the Holosun 507K family) and carries fiber optic sights set for a lower one-third co-witness. Overall length is 7.95 inches and weight is about 40 oz. empty. Two 17-round magazines and a lockable case are included. FF in our store title refers to the full-length frame.
Double-Stack Capacity
Moving to a double-stack magazine takes the 1911 from 9 rounds to 17 while keeping the single-action trigger. The grip is thicker than a single-stack 1911, though still comfortable for most hands. This puts the Carry DS in the same class as 2011-style pistols at a fraction of the cost, but its magazines are specific to the design, so buy spares made for this model.

Red Dot Ready
The slide is cut for RMSc-footprint micro dots, letting you mount an optic directly without an adapter plate. A direct mount keeps the dot low so the fiber optic irons appear in the lower third of the window as a backup. Use thread locker on the screws and check zero after the first few hundred rounds. If your dot uses a different footprint, an adapter or another optic will be needed.
Bull Barrel and Flared Magwell
The bull barrel eliminates the bushing and adds weight at the muzzle to reduce flip. The flared magwell guides fast reloads. Together with the steel frame, these make the Carry DS a very flat-shooting 9mm, ideal for practice drills and competition as well as carry.

Weight and Carry
At about 40 oz. unloaded, this is a heavy carry pistol. A stiff gun belt and a holster built for a double-stack 1911 with optic cut are essential; generic 1911 holsters will not fit the wider frame. Many owners use it as a home defense or range pistol and pick something lighter for daily carry.
Reliability and Care
Like other double-stack 1911s, the Carry DS likes clean magazines and good lubrication. Give it a break-in of a few hundred rounds and test your defensive load. The QPQ nitride finish is hard-wearing and corrosion resistant, so it handles holster wear better than bluing.
State Laws and Ownership
States with magazine capacity limits of 10 or 15 rounds will not allow the included 17-round magazines, and roster states may exclude the model entirely. Check your state and local rules on capacity, rosters and carry permits before ordering.
